3 Ways to Celebrate Your Pup on National Dog DayTomorrow is National Dog Day, which is a special holiday designed to honor man’s best friend. Celebrating National Dog Day can be as easy as giving your pup a special treat or a big hug, but if you want to take acknowledging your pet’s loyalty and unconditional love to the next level we have 3 fun ways to celebrate.
1. Have a National Dog Day party and invite your friends and their dogs. Throw some burgers on the grill for your guests and whip up some pet-friendly treats. Here’s an easy dog treat recipe that humans can eat too:
Oatmeal Cookie Bites:
2 very ripe bananas
1 1/2 cup quick oats
1/3 cup peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Mash bananas into a large bowl and add peanut butter and oats. Mix well. Drop mixture onto lined cookie sheet in spoonfuls until there are 16-20 of them. Bake 12-15 minutes.
2. Celebrate the Pinot way by painting a magnificent portrait of your dog to display in your home.
3. Buy your dog a new toy (or 3… or 5) and take them out to a local dog park for the day to have some fun. If you really want plan something special for your furry friend, head out to Whirlin’ Waters in North Charleston next week for dog day at the water park! The best thing about this event is that owners are free with pet admission. Here’s some info about the event:
