"Whats Your Pinot Story" with Aidan KosterOur awesome concept is designed to make the least creative guests open their minds and their hearts to an accomplishment they never thought possible. We decided to reach out to our valued customers that took the plunge and tried a fun night out doing something "they never thought possible" to share their stories with you! Introducing, Aidan Koster from Lawrence, KS!
When asked what her occupation was and her overall opinion of her creative talent before walking into Pinot's Palette Lawrence she stated, "I am a legal administrator. Its a completely non artistic job. Before coming to Pinot's Palette, I would say that I'm a person that likes to do crafts, but I don't have any artistic training after 6th grade art class!"
We asked her what her thoughts were before her first visit to Pinot's. With all honesty, she stated that her first painting was not what she would have chosen because of the "human beings" in the painting, but came out for a fun night with friends. "I sort of wanted to do it, but had never had the nerve to sign myself up to go by myself. As you can see, it looks like a human couple," she jokes! "I still don't come to paintings where we paint human beings or animals, but I have probably come back 6, 8, probably 10 times and I'm not done yet!"
I asked her if she felt like she is getting better the more she comes to Pinot's Palette. Her response was enthusiastic! "I do! I feel like I'm really comfortable! I feel like I need the artist to walk me through! I'm not afraid of my ability to listen to their instructions and do what they say." Aidan feels that the step by step Pinot's Palette offers is "critical." "I think a regular person that doesn't have art training would really struggle to figure out where to start." She goes on to say, "the artist being there and helping you through REALLY helps break it down so that a regular person could understand and successfully do." In fact, Aidan has also used her skills she learned to paint a wall in an office!
Aidan's advice for those who are on the fence about trying Pinot's Palette? "I think you should just come and try it! Everyone who is at Pinot's Palette either has never done it before or started as the person I have no idea what I'm doing!"
Aidan's first visit was 07/18/2015 and she has joined us 8 times in a year and we are always excited to have her with us! THANK YOU, Aidan, for taking the time to share your story!
