Toys for Tots 2018Pinot's Palette Partners with Little Black Book: Women in Business to Raise Money for Local Charities ~
For the 3rd year in a row, Pinot's Palette Lake St. Louis is partnering with Little Black Book: Women in Business to bring joy to children all across the St. Louis metropolitan area. LBB has been the single largest source of toys for the US Marines Toys for Tots program for the last 5 years, with their contribution accounting for 20% of the total toys and cash raised in a 13 county service area. LBB is a women's only organization of about 150 women business owners and representatives whose mission is to promote not only the businesses but also support the women themselves with networking, top-quality programming, charity and camaraderie.
Pinot's Palette Lake St. Louis first partnered with Little Black Book in 2016, right after opening, for their first Painting it Forward fundraiser. That event was a huge success (or so we thought) and we were able to donate $600 to the LBB Give Foundation which in turn funds Toys for Tots. In 2017 we were blown away by the support of our community, and raised $1,600 for the organization at a complete studio Sell Out event! How can you beat a Sell Out? We aren't sure, but this year we painted "Little Red Truck" on a wood pallet and sold out the entire studio again! We were able to donate $1,750 to not only Toys for Tots, but 5 additional local charities: The Child Center, The Sparrows Nest, The Key, Eagles Wings and the St Charles County Walk to End Alzheimer's. All five of these local non-profits are represented through members of LBB.
The Painting it Forward event was held on Oct. 18, and kicked off a series of fundraisers by various members of LBB. It all culminates in the Party of the Year, the Brrr Bash, to be held on Dec. 8 in Kokomo Joe's brand new banquet facility. The event is open to the public and includes dinner, open bar, live music and raffles. LBB is also distributing 100 toy collection boxes to businesses all across St. Charles County. Pinot's Palette Lake St Louis is giving everyone who drops off a new, unwrapped toy at the studio a $10 gift card for a future class. All of those toys end up at the Brrr Bash, and the sight is something to behold! At the end of the night, a human chain is formed and all of the toys are passed and loaded onto trucks for the Marines to distribute. The Brrr Bash has sold out all 6 years, so get your tickets early!
