Class Details

This geometric giraffe glistens under the moonlight. Inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt, it utilizes lots of fun geometric shapes and detailed patterns!

Day time art lessons! Ideal for homeschoolers who want in person classes. Learn more than just painting! Learn art history, sketching, composition, blending, layering, all building up to a finished canvas.

Class Dates: September 1st, 9th, 14th, 22nd, 30th - 10am-12pm each week

Program Goals
🎨 Teach foundational art skills including sketching, shading, blending, and texturing.
🎨 Learn some art history facts about famous artists/ works of art.
🎨 Encourage creativity, imagination, and artistic expression.
🎨 Build student confidence through successful completion of a monthly final project.
🎨 Strengthen fine motor skills and visual planning abilities.

Weekly Instructional Flow

Each week of September we will focus on a different famous artist and a work of art inspired by them. Classes are designed to gradually develop techniques and artistic skills.

Week 1 – Austrian Painter Gustav Klimt, Painting: “Klimt Style Giraffe”
Week 2 – French Artist Georges Seurat, Painting: “Seurat’s Afternoon on the Seine”
Week 3 – Spanish Painter and Sculptor Pablo Picasso, Painting: “Cubist Portrait”
Week 4 – French Painter Claude Monet, Painting: “Monet’s Autumn Effect”
Week 5 – Dutch Painter Vincet Van Gogh, Painting: “Fall Starry Night Pumpkin”

    At Pinot's Palette Tyler we now offer a candle making experience before every class. For just $20 you can add on a candle. Choose your fragrance and pour your own candle with all natural soy-wax. Candles burn up to 40 hours and make a great gift. Arrive to your painting class 30 minutes early to have time to pour your candle. Candle will set during class and you will leave with a painting and an amazing smelling new candle.

  • What are your studio office hours?

    Studio office hours are 10am-2pm Monday-Saturday

  • How long is a typical class?

    Most Pinot’s Palette classes in Tyler last about two to three hours, depending on the painting. This gives guests time to relax, socialize, and complete their artwork with step-by-step guidance.
