Black Light Painting and Planetarium Show
Class Details
Go beyond your imagination and paint this piece in the dark (it glows in the black light!) or paint it in the light of day for a bright stellar time. A wonderful opportunity to hang several canvases together for a large art display. Easy to customize.
Pinot's Palette and SMNC have joined forces to create an out-of-this-world event!
You'll start the evening in the Astronomy Center for a special viewing of "Stamford Skies", the planetarium's signature show. Look up and discover the stories written across the night sky. Join SMNC educators for a live, interactive journey through the myths, legends and history behind the constellations, and learn how these familiar patterns of stars came to be named and woven into stories across the ages.
Afterwards, Pinot's Palette will host a black light party in the Astronomy Center's lobby. We'll turn off the lights and turn up the fun with fluorescent paints and the perfect painting, "Extraterrestrial".
Don't miss this rare opportunity to spend an evening among the stars with us. Perfect for a family outing, date night, or girl's night out. We can't wait to see you there!

Q) I don’t have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. Nearly everyone is surprised at their inner Picasso! There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint does dry quickly so we love to help you to adjust and perfect your work.
-
