In this fun, relaxed, and beginner-friendly class, you’ll discover the fundamentals of the game while meeting others who are learning right alongside you. We’ll guide you step-by-step, answer your questions, and help you build the confidence to sit down and play.
In Mahjong 101, you’ll learn:

🀄 The Charleston (tile exchange)
🀄 Reading the National Mahjong League card
🀄 Basic strategies and game etiquette
🀄 How to build your first winning hand
No prior experience is needed—we provide everything you need, including Mahjong sets and instruction. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!

Learn Mahjong from MidMo Mahjong! Our 101 class walks you through the foundations. Tables are in groups of 4. We are a BYO studio for drinks and snacks but provide all the glassware, ice, plates, napkins, silverware, corkscrews and water. Everyone coming into the studio needs a reservation. Mahjong has the following age requirements: 15 to 17 years old with a gaming adult and their own reservation, or 18 years old and up.
