Meet the Team! Lindsey
Meet Lindsey!Lindsey was born in Greenwood, Mississippi but she moved to Alabama close to 20 years ago and now calls Huntsville home. For the past five years she has been a stay at home mom to two of the most fun and energetic boys while simultaneously sharpening her art skills. Ages five and three, they share her love of art, hiking, fishing, gardening, reading, cooking, science, technology and astronomy. Art is such a huge aspect in her life, so much in fact that she was married at the Huntsville Museum of Art.
She attended Virginia College in 2004 for digital media arts. Where she studied multiple forms of art such as drawing, Photoshop, CAD, 3D/CGI and web design. She enjoys many types of arts and crafts such as painting, sewing, crocheting, jewelry making, DIY home projects and baking.
She likes to travel and has visited Paris, Amsterdam and Stuttgart in Europe and all but about five of the states.
From 2013 to 2015 she lived in Phoenix where she began to truly enjoy the paint and sip concept and tried five different places including Pinot's Palette in Scottsdale, AZ. Which she found, by the way, to have been the most fun and well instructed of them all, and I didn't make her say that! Now that she's back home in Alabama, she is super excited to be part of the Pinot's Palette team in Huntsville! This has allowed her more time to paint and share her knowledge and experiences of art with everyone so that they too can paint masterpieces. Like Bob Ross says "there are no mistakes only happy accidents".
She harbors a great love of impressionism, expressionism and realism including artists from the beautiful like Monet, to the strange like Salvador Dali. Above all others she was inspired most by Van Gogh - she developed an even deeper connection with him after visiting his museum in Amsterdam in 2008. "It was truly inspiring to see his work up close and personal." She also respects classic realism paint styles even more after visiting The Louvre in Paris. "Which is a feast to the artist lover’s eyes. To see the Mona Lisa within a few feet was incredible." As well as many other beautiful and famous works by Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt.
Come paint with Lindsey one night!
