How do I sign up for a class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" link on the top of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order.

What are your normal business hours?

Wed-Thur. 2-9:30, Fri-Sat. 12-10:30, Sun 12-7:30. Our studio is always available however to host your Private Event. If there is a class on Monday or Tuesday, we will be in a couple hours before and an hour after the class. When in doubt, look at our Event Calendar!

What does a class cost and what is included?

Our normal class prices range from $35 - $45, depending on whether it's a 2, 2.5, or 3 hour painting. Specialty classes range from $50-65 and are offered once or twice a month. All classes include a 16x20" cotton canvas, use of our paint, paintbrushes, apron, easel, and step-by-step instruction provided by one of our awesome local artists. Wine and beer are also available to purchase at our bar.

Is there an age limit for public classes at the Studio?

Yes, due to state liquor laws, all guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend a class in our Studio. We have recently partnered with Round Table Pizza to host our Little Brushes events, and also host Private Parties at Bob's Burgers which can accommodate minors.

Are kids allowed in the Studio?

No. Unfortunately due to state liquor laws, all guests must be 21 or older. We do however host events at venues near our studio that accommodate minors. Check the calendar!

What is the cancellation policy?

Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: A full refund can occur if notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before class start. The reservation can be put on hold to sign up and attend another class if notification is received at least 24 hours before class start. Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to class start. This cancellation policy applies to parties of 4 or less. For cancellation of a party of 5 or more, a minimum of five days notice is required for a refund or to reschedule.

Where should I park?

There is free, fully lit parking provided at Sunrise Village 24/7. We recommend parking by LA Fitness or along 156th St E.

When should I arrive for class?

We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before class starts to allow time to get settle in and mingle with friends before the painting starts. Don't forget to bring your ID!

Is there reserved seating?

Absolutely. We will have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class that you'd like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class or you can send us an email, southhill@pinotspalette.com. *Private parties do not have reserved seating.

What should I wear to class?

No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art.

What do I need to bring to class?

We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. All you need to bring is your ID and any appetizers you might want during the class. We also provide the plates, napkins, and silverware. We have a fun list of local wine and beer as well as non-alcoholic beverages to choose from for purchase, and we always have complimentary bottled water for all our painters!

Can I bring a friend with me to sit and not paint?

Unfortunately due to our seating capacity we do not allow people to attend our painting classes with out a reservation.

I don't have any artistic talent. Will I be able to finish the painting?

Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.

Are beverages included with the seat cost?

Three hour classes on Sundays include the cost of one house beverage with the purchase of a class. Beverages are also included in some specialty classes, such as our alternate or large format paintings. Beverages must be purchased in addition to the cost of a seat for all other classes. Classes with beverages included will be clearly indicated on our Calendar.

How much do drinks cost?

Wine by the glass ranges from $5-$8 (including tax) and it's even cheaper to purchase by the bottle and split with friends. Microbrews are $4-6 (including tax). We also have a fun selection of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from!

Can I bring food into the Studio?

Yes! Outside and catered food is welcome. We also have snacks available for purchase.

When does the next calendar get posted?

We post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list, or like us on Facebook to get notified there!

I want to plan a Private Event at Pinot's Palette - where do I start?

We love to pARTy! Select "Request Event Info" from the Private Events drop-down menu, or click on "Request Private Party Info Button" from the link https://www.pinotspalette.com/southhill/private-parties.

What is the cost for a Private Event?

Private Events cost the same as public classes; $20/seat for Mommy & Me (10"x10" canvas), $35/seat for a 2-hr event, $45/seat for a 3-hr event and $60/seat for a Project Pet class. A $99 fee is required to reserve your time slot, and can be applied to the cost of the event.

What is the reservation fee for a Private Event? Is it refundable?

The reservation fee for a private event is $99. It may be applied to party costs, or refunded after the event. If the event is cancelled, Pinot's Palette retains the reservation fee.

How many people can fit in the Studio?

The main studio seats 48 customers, and the private party room seats 24 customers. The private event booking minimum is 12 for the private party room and 15 for the main studio.

I'm looking for an awesome meeting venue, can I host my meeting at Pinot's Palette?

Absolutely. Contact our studio for rates and availability. All room rentals come with a bartender, sound system and T.V. display.

What's the deal with Happy Hour?

Happy Hour is an open studio event every Friday from 12-6pm where guests can sip and paint a 10"x10" self-guided canvas for $10. An artist is on-hand to set up your paints, brushes and canvas for the painting you select, and to help you out with one-on-one assistance if you need it! We recommend starting your masterpiece no later that 5pm in order to finish in one session.
