Cream and Ice: 1860s Style!
We are headed to Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm for a FAMILY DAY! Ages 5 and up are allowed to come but EVERYONE NEEDS THEIR OWN RESERVATION, including adults. Minors will need an adult to stay, and they too must have their own reservation. Non-painters are not allowed in the event. We will paint on a small canvas for one hour, and then make ice cream, butter and see the ice house. The painting will be done in an air-conditioned building.

Join us for a UNIQUE experience and $15 dollars from every seat will be donated back to Mahaffie Farm!

All sales are final, please check our FAQ page for details: https://www....ent-questions

Coffee Ice Cream
4 cups cream
¾ cup sugar
5 oz green coffee beans
Roast the coffee beans until they are nicely browned. Throw them into the cream and sugar while they are still hot. Let them infuse for an hour before straining them out. Freeze.12

Materials:
Ice Cream Freezer
Ice
Rock Salt
Custard
Procedure:

1. Put the custard mix into the center canister of the ice cream maker. Fit the beaters into the canister, put the lid on and set the canister in the outside bucket.

2. Fill the ice cream maker with ice, sprinkling on the rock salt as you go. The salt lowers the melting point of the ice, which helps the ice cream freeze.

3. Fit the top bar onto the canister and bucket and begin turning

4. Ice cream takes between 40 minutes and 2 hours to freeze, depending on the custard, temperature, humidity etc. Replace ice as it melts.

5. When emptying the freezer of ice, be sure not to put the salty ice on the grass—it will kill it.
