Japanese Rising Sun
Sunday, May 23
2:00 - 4:00PM
Did you know that Mt. Fuji is actually a Stratovolcano! Not only is it one volcano – it’s three! The mount is three separate volcanoes placed on top of one another. The bottom layer is the Komitake volcano, then the Kofuji volcano, then Fuji, which is the youngest. Mt Fuji is indeed still active. Although, the last time it erupted was in 1707, over 300 years ago!
We are SO excited to see you back in the studio! We have added safety measures to ensure compliance with all Tier 1 Mitigations from the State of the Illinois/City of Chicago to ensure your safety and we are ready to go for some good clean fun! The class sizes are limited, and we will seat groups six feet apart. We can accommodate up to 10 people at a table for family/friend groups. OUR BAR IS OPEN!
Masks may be removed when seated but must be worn when moving about the studio.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
We encourage our guests to arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the paint party to allow time to grab a beverage, get ready to paint, and settle in at your table. Our paint parties begin at the scheduled start time.
Paint, drink & have fun with us at Pinot's Palette Logan Square! At our sip and paint parties, guests enjoy a 'no art experience required' paint party & all art supplies are included! You'll be led by our talented local artists who will guide you step-by-step to create the featured painting.
Our paint events are more party than art class. Though our artists will guide you to create the featured painting, this is your masterpiece! You can follow along as much, or as little, as you’d like. Feel free to choose a different color from our paint cart, add in your own detail or paint another image entirely. We encourage creativity!
The more the merrier, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS! We paint, drink and have fun!

CDC Issues New Mask Guidance, No Changes Yet in Illinois
On Thursday, May 13, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 do not need to wear masks or practice social distancing indoors or outdoors, except under certain circumstances.
Businesses and diners must continue to follow local and state regulations related to mask usage. The city of Chicago, Cook County, and the state of Illinois have not yet made any modifications to their public health orders regarding the use of masks.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) have expressed that they are supportive of the CDC's recommendations. The IRA will share the latest updates from local and state authorities as soon as they are available.
Effective Friday, May 14 in the state of Illinois (outside of Chicago and Cook County):
• Occupancy continues to be determined by six feet of social distancing between parties.
• Restaurants and bars can continue to allow for a table/party size of up to 10, and more than 10 if the individuals provide proof of the vaccination or a negative COVID test.
• Indoor standing area occupancy at restaurants and bars will be increased to 30%, and outdoor standing area occupancy will be increased to 50% (up from 25% currently).
• Social events can increase to 250 people indoors or 500 people outdoors.

How do I sign up for a class?
To reserve a seat for one of our paint parties, click on our home page and scroll through our upcoming events or visit our ‘Event Calendar’ to view our full upcoming calendar of events. Click on the painting of your choice. To reserve a seat, click the ‘Register’ button and follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Please contact us if you have any trouble completing your order. We will help you trouble shoot the issue or simply take your reservation by phone.
Is there an age limit for your regular public classes?
We welcome families and children ages 6 years and above for any of our daytime paint parties. While our evening classes that begin after 5 pm are structured for adults, we do allow guests aged 13 – 17 to participate if they are accompanied by an adult. All guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcohol.
What should I wear to paint?
No dress code here...dress casual or dress up! We provide all guests with an apron, but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art. Should any acrylic paint get on your clothes, it can typically be washed out within 60 seconds. If allowed to set longer, the paint may be permanent.
I don’t have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our paint parties are intended for beginners, but are also fun for more seasoned artists. Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting. You can follow along as much, or as little, as you’d like. Feel free to choose a different color from our paint cart, add in your own detail or paint another image entirely. We encourage creativity and there are no mistakes! Acrylic paint dries quickly, so making changes or perfecting your painting is easy to do.
Is there parking near your studio?
Street parking is available all along Milwaukee, Kimball and Diversey Avenues. While parking in some areas is free, most parking is $2/hr. Using the ‘Park Chicago’ app makes paying for parking a breeze. A public parking lot is also available two blocks south of us at the corner of Spaulding & Emmett (behind McDonalds), also $2/hr. We are also just steps from the Blue Line Logan Square stop (exit the L platform towards Spaulding Ave).
