Art in the Park with Unity Park!
Art in the Park with Unity ParkDid you know that the Unity Park Advisory Council has been supporting Unity Park for 30 years?! In August 1986, neighbors organized to demand major improvements to what was then called "Playlot 293," with flyers that beckoned the community to engage. Thirty years later and the Unity Park Advisory Council (UPAC) is stronger than ever, continuing their support of Chicago Parks and the Logan Square community.
Come celebrate the Unity Park Advisory Council's 30 Year Anniversary at their Annual 'Art in the Park' event on Saturday, July 16th, from 10 am - 2 pm.
With the brilliant creativity of local artist Amie Sell, neighbors will come together to paint and decorate more than 800 leaves to be added to the Unity “Family Tree.” This weekend's event will also feature a World’s Largest Coloring Book where park guests can color fabulous landmarks of Logan Square.
We're proud to join and support Unity Park and local Chicago artist Amie Sell at 'Art in The Park' this Saturday, July 16th. We'll have some of our talented local artists on-site to work along side Amie Sell and help all the little hands at the park add their creative touch to Unity Family Tree so we can look back on this in another 30 years.
Congratulations and Happy 30th Anniversary, Unity Park Advisory Council! Thanks for all your years of service!
