What to Expect at a Paint and Sip Class in Huntington Beach
Your first paint and sip class should feel like a fun night out, even if you haven't picked up a paintbrush since school. At Pinot's Palette Huntington Beach in Bella Terra, we guide you through the painting while you enjoy time with your favorite people. Here's how to choose a class, what to bring, and what happens once you arrive.
No painting experience is needed. Our artists break the featured painting into manageable steps and help you along the way. You don't have to know how to mix a color or where to start on a blank canvas. That's what we're here for.
You can follow the example or give your painting your own touches. A different sky, a brighter flower, a little extra color—it's your canvas. The fun is seeing how everyone's version turns out.
START BY PICKING A PAINTING YOU LOVE
Browse our online event calendar and choose a painting and date that work for you. Open the event to check the time, price, and age requirements, then select your seats and complete checkout.
Coming with friends who booked separately? Contact the studio ahead of time so we can do our best to seat you together. It's an easy way to plan a birthday outing or a night with friends without organizing a private party.
ARRIVE EARLY AND GET SETTLED
Plan to arrive about 30 minutes before class starts. You'll have time to check in, find your seat, put on an apron, and order something from the menu before the painting begins.
Our studio is in Bella Terra at 7811 Edinger Avenue, Suite 110, Huntington Beach. You can also make an evening of it with dinner or a little shopping before or after class.
WE HAVE THE PAINTING SUPPLIES READY
Your reservation includes your canvas, use of our brushes, paints, easel, and apron, plus guided instruction. There's no supply list to shop for beforehand.
Wear something comfortable that you wouldn't mind getting paint on. Dressing up for date night is welcome, but an apron doesn't protect everything, and acrylic paint can leave permanent marks.
FOOD, DRINKS, AND THE “SIP” PART
Food and beverages are available for purchase separately. Choose from wine, beer, sake and soju cocktails, or non-alcoholic drinks. You can absolutely enjoy a paint and sip class without drinking alcohol.
Please leave outside beverages at home, including water bottles, tumblers, and other personal drink containers. Our studio also does not allow outside food during public classes. If you're planning a private party, ask us about the food arrangements for your booking.
WHAT HAPPENS WHILE WE PAINT?
Your instructor walks you through the painting one section at a time, showing you what to do next. You paint along, ask questions, and add the details that make the artwork yours.
Most classes run about two to three hours; check your selected event for its exact start and end times. At the end, your painting goes home with you. It might become a reminder of a birthday, an anniversary, or a Tuesday when you decided to try something different.
CAN I BRING THE KIDS?
Look for Family Day and Little Brushes events on the calendar, and check the age guidance on the individual listing before booking. Different events are designed for different ages, so choosing the right class helps everyone enjoy the experience.
WANT THE WHOLE GROUP TOGETHER?
A public class is an easy option for a few friends, a date, or a small birthday gathering. If you'd like a painting party just for your group, explore our private party options. We can help you plan a birthday celebration, a team outing, or another reason to get everyone around the easels.
