Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for an event?

Signing up is easy! Click the "Event Calendar" link at the top of the page to view our full calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart". Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. You will receive an email confirmation after registering and a reminder email a few days before your class is scheduled. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will be happy to help you through the process.

When do I need to arrive for the event?

We recommend you arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to allow time for you to get settled in, grab some liquid creativity, and mingle before the painting starts. Remember that this isn't an art class, this is a social event!

What do I need to bring with me to the event?

We provide all of the painting supplies that you will need: canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class! Wine, beer, mocktails, and snacks are available for purchase, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

Is there reserved seating?

We have assigned seating for all of our public events to ensure that your entire group of family or friends can sit together. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can enter their names when you book the class or you can send us an email (…just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice). Private Parties do not have assigned seating.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes. For Open Studio and Family Day before 3 pm: 5 years old and above with an adult or parent. Public Events (Non Family Day or Open Studio) before 3 pm: 10 years old and above with an adult or parent. Public Events after 3 pm: 13 years old and above (ages 13-17 with an adult). Please call with any questions regarding age limits. *Little Brushes: 5 and above with adult or signed permission slip. **You must be 21+ to purchase and consume alcohol.

What should I wear to the event?

We provide aprons to protect your clothing but accidents do happen and acrylic paint does not wash out of clothing. That said, dress up or dress down - there is no dress code here at Pinot's Palette!

What if I registered for the wrong event?

No problem! Contact us and let us know which class you would like to re-register for and we'll take care of you.

What is the public event cancellation policy?

Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: A full refund can occur if notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the event start. You can also have the option to put the reservation on hold for a later date or transfer the reservation to another event. The reservation can be put on hold or transferred to another event if notification is received at least 24 hours before the event starts. Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to the event starting. This cancellation policy applies to parties of two or less. For cancellation of a party of three or more, a minimum of one week's notice is required for a refund or to reschedule

What is the private event cancellation policy?

Deposits for mobile events, corporate events, or private parties in our private party room are fully refundable if the event is cancelled with at least 14 days advance notice.

What is the best way to contact Pinot's Palette?

Thanks for wanting to contact us! Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00am to 5:00pm with a break from 1 pm to 1:30 pm for lunch. During office hours, please call us! We'd love to speak with you. Outside of office hours, email is the best way. Our email address is gilbert@pinotspalette.com. The studio is typically open from 11 am to 9-10 pm on the days we have classes. Sundays, we close by 5-6 pm. Feel free to swing by and see us but please call to ensure there is someone there!!

Can I bring in my own food and beverages?

Our location does not allow BYOB. You can purchase wine, beer, "mocktails", or our featured drink of the night at our "Paint. Drink. Have Fun." bar. We have a great selection to satisfy every palate! Please remember, no BYOB at our studio location. You are welcome to bring your own food - cake, apps, etc. - for the event. We supply complimentary bottled water.

Is the wine included with the event?

Not typically, because some of our guests choose not to drink during the event. Your bar tab (if any) is extra. Occasionally, we will run specials that may include alcohol with the class purchase.

If I buy a bottle of wine and can't finish it, can I take it home with me?

Yes, as long as the bottle is completely recorked.

Do you sell any non-alcoholic beverages?

Yes! We sell "mocktails", soda, iced tea, and juice boxes.

I don't have any artistic talent, will I be able to complete the painting?

Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. No art experience needed! There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, so if you do make a mistake, it is easy to fix and get back on track.

Is it okay to have someone come as a spectator?

Great question! For Private Events, yes you can (as approved by the host). For public classes, however, we have a 'No Observers" policy. Our motto is Paint. Drink. Have Fun. after all!! We have found in the past that when there is someone in the room who is not painting while others are, it can create an uncomfortable situation. Painters may already be timid about doing this for the first time and we want to honor the comfortability and safety of all patrons in the room.

Can we bring decorations and favors if we are celebrating?

We love celebrating and decorations! Please bring whatever you'd like to decorate your space with. We do ask to be mindful of others around and their experience as well. If you have something specific in mind, please contact the studio and perhaps we can set it up ahead of time for you.

Can I invite minors to my private party?

Yes, though they are not allowed to purchase or consume alcohol. It is at the discretion of the private party host to determine if they want minors to be present at the party.

When does the next calendar get posted?

We try to post the next month's calendar between the 10th and 15th of the month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our newsletter!
