Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up for an event?
Choose a painting on our Event Calendar and complete your registration online. Advance registration is requested but not required. Walk-ins are welcome when a class is running and space is available, but without prior registration you risk arriving after a class has been cancelled and finding the studio closed. Classes require at least three registered painters three hours before the start time.
When do I need to arrive for the event?
Please arrive 15–30 minutes before your event starts so you have time to get settled, purchase a drink if you like and visit with your group before painting begins.
What do I need to bring with me to the event?
We provide all of the painting supplies that you will need: canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class! Wine, beer, "Mocktails", and snacks are available for purchase, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
Are there any age restrictions?
Yes. For Open Studios: 5 years old and above with an adult or parent. For Family Days: 6 years old and above with an adult or parent. Public Events (Non Family Day or Open Studio) before 5 pm: 7 years old and above with an adult or parent. Public Events after 5 pm: 13 years old and above (ages 13-16 with an adult). Please call with any questions regarding age limits. *Little Brushes: 5 and above with adult or signed permission slip. **You must be 21+ to purchase and consume alcohol.
What is the public event cancellation policy?
Public event purchases are nonrefundable. With at least 24 hours' notice, cancellations are eligible for a credit valid for 60 days, with no rescheduling fee. A rescheduling fee applies with less than 24 hours' notice. Please submit cancellation requests in writing by email. Classes require at least three registered painters three hours before the start time and may be cancelled if this minimum is not met. If the studio cancels an event, a full refund will be offered.
What is the private event cancellation policy?
Deposits for mobile events, corporate events, or private parties in our private party room are fully refundable if the event is cancelled with at least 14 days advance notice. We reserve the right to cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances. Full refunds will be provided if we cancel an event.
What if I registered for the wrong event?
No problem! Contact us and let us know which class you would like to re-register for and we'll take care of you.
Is there reserved seating?
We have assigned seating for all of our public events to ensure that your entire group of family or friends can sit together. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can enter their names when you book the class or you can send us an email (…just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice). Private Parties do not have assigned seating.
What should I wear to the event?
We provide aprons to protect your clothing but accidents do happen and acrylic paint does not wash out of clothing. That said, dress up or dress down - there is no dress code here at Pinot's Palette!
What is the refund policy for a specialty event (e.g. Project Pet, illuminated, non-canvas events, etc.)
The refund policy is the same as our standard refund policy except a portion will be withheld to cover our costs depending on the cost of the event.

Can I bring in my own food and beverages?
You are welcome to bring food, including cake and appetizers. No outside beverages are allowed, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. Wine, beer, mocktails and other nonalcoholic drinks are available for purchase at the studio. Ice water is complimentary.
Is the wine included with the event?
Not typically, because some of our guests choose not to drink during the event. Your bar tab (if any) is extra. Occasionally, we will run specials that may include alcohol with the class purchase.
If I buy a bottle of wine and can't finish it, can I take it home with me?
Yes, as long as the bottle is completely recorked. All bottles must be placed in the trunk of your vehicle.
Do you sell any non-alcoholic beverages?
Yes! We sell "mocktails", sodas, Italian sodas, iced teas, and juices.
I don't have any artistic talent, will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. No art experience needed! There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, so if you do make a mistake, it is easy to fix and get back on track.
Is it okay to have someone come as a spectator?
Spectators may attend private events with the host's approval. Public classes are for registered painters only; observers are not permitted.
Can we bring decorations and favors if we are celebrating?
We love celebrating and decorations! Please bring whatever you'd like to decorate your space with. We do ask to be mindful of others around and their experience as well. If you have something specific in mind, please contact the studio and perhaps we can set it up ahead of time for you.
Can I invite minors to my private party?
Yes, though they are not allowed to purchase or consume alcohol. It is at the discretion of the private party host to determine if they want minors to be present at the party.
When does the next calendar get posted?
The next month's event calendar is posted between the 10th and 15th of the preceding month. Join our newsletter to receive updates when the new calendar is available.
