At Pinot’s Palette Broken Arrow, art is life. But did you know that art and drawing are known to be great methods to help reduce stress. Here are some ways that the arts can help you during times of stress:
- Art is a great way to take your mind off the worries life brings. When you are creating, you use a different part of your brain. You get caught up in what you’re doing, clear your head, and allow you to rethink problems from a different perspective.
- Detailed coloring books, or even paint by number Apps, are another great way to reduce stress. You can find them for people of all ages, and they often have elaborate patterns that are fun and force you to focus.
- Life is very active today, and we are constantly under pressure to do more. Between work and children, there isn’t a lot of time for self-care. If you make take time to add in a little art each day, it will help to relieve some of your stress. If painting isn’t your thing, there are many forms of art you can try. Cross stitch, knitting, writing, and music are some other great forms of art that can be fun and relaxing!
