How To Book
A $250 deposit secures your private event date and time. (Availability must be confirmed by the studio). Our minimum is 15 guests and up to 46. A higher minimum applies on Fri/Sat evenings (30), Wed/Thurs evenings (20), weekend afternoons (20). ASK ABOUT OUR $39 PARTY SPECIAL Monday/Tuesday nights!
After placing your $250 deposit, our online party evite system, makes it easy for you to invite your guests and keep track of who's attending anytime you like. All guests must be registered 2 business days prior to the event. If your minimum headcount is not met, empty seats up to the minimum are deducted from the deposit and/or charged before your party. In addition, a 15% gratuity on seats will be deducted from deposit unless you have opted to include the gratuity as part of the guest registration fee.
A host may apply the deposit balance, partially or in full, to the bar or extra studio time. Any remaining balance is refunded to your original form of payment the first business day after the event.
A private party may be canceled with deposit refunded (less $25 cancellation fee), or rescheduled with full deposit applied. Minimum 14 days' written notice to our email required. (30 days' notice for Wed-Sat evenings and weekend afternoons.) See our terms and conditions for reservation cancellations.
We want your event to be fun, organized and effortless. Our helpful staff is available pre-party to answer any questions. And the day of the event, to create a one of a kind paint party just for you. We've got everything you need to release your inner Van Gogh and make this the most memorable party ever!
Private Party Room
Private parties will have the studio to themselves, with space for a minimum of 15 and up to 46 guests. Our events are 3 hours: 30 minutes before and after your 2-hour painting class. Please remember, we are 21 or older — ID required.
Canvases, brushes, paints, palettes, aprons and anything else needed to finish a masterpiece. Late guests arriving 15+ minutes after painting instruction has begun may paint, but will need to catch up on their own. Guests arriving 30+ minutes after instruction has begun, may attend but not paint.
Our instructors are professional artists themselves, and they are well-trained in making the painting process simple and enjoyable for painters of all skill levels. Everyone gets step-by-step instructions at a comfortable pace. We assume you have not picked up a paint brush since grade school.
Ice, Ice Buckets, Water
Our upscale studio bar features local East Bay wines, craft beer on tap and non-alcoholic selections for purchase. Complimentary bottled water is available upon request. No outside beverages or BYOB allowed. ALCOHOL IS NOT INCLUDED in the painting fees per California Liquor Laws.
A class act for sure. We provide real glassware for all guests. You let us know how you want to handle the bar: HOSTED (Host pays for all beverages), NON-HOSTED (Guests pay individually), DRINK TICKETS (We provide the tickets and Hosts pays for 1 or 2 rounds at the bar), or maybe you want to purchase a few bottles and go from there. All up to you.
It's your party and your music! We'll have a crowd-pleasing, upbeat playlist ready for you. Or, you can tell us what sort of music you'd like for your event. Just give us the genres or pandora stations you prefer. And don't worry – we make sure the music doesn't get in the way of hearing the artist's instructions.
Food And Drinks
There's plenty of room on our 6' buffet for food and we provide plates, napkins, utensils, everything you need. We suggest easy to eat party food for your guests. Except for birthday candles, no open flame please. Our bar features local wines, craft beer and non-alcoholic selections for purchase. No BYOB or outside beverages. 21+ — ID required.
Your party begins on time with 30 minutes for guests to arrive, settle in and socialize, followed by a 2-hour painting session and a final 30 minutes to wrap up and clean up. A total of 3 hours in our upscale studio. Host may arrive 15 minutes before start time for food and party set up. Need more time to celebrate? Available for an additional fee.
Please provide your top three (3) desired paintings from our 2-hour library in order of preference. We'll always try to make sure you get your first choice; but we want to be sure it is fun, easy for everyone and leaves time to mingle.
You don't have to choose a painting in order to book an event, but the final selection must be confirmed with the studio at least two weeks before your event date. You also want your guest to be excited and view your painting when they RSVP and register. Our custom evite makes it easy to invite, keep track of your guests and see who is attending.
Our painting library is huge! If you need assistance choosing the right painting for your group, just get in touch with us. We've hosted quite a few events and can help you narrow it down. You can now paint more than canvas. We offer wine bottles with battery-operated "cork" lights, tote bags, wood pallets and more. (Based on timeframe and availability — additional charges may apply.)
