Will you start on time?
Yes. We start each event at the scheduled time. We recommend you arrive in the area at least 30 minutes prior to the start time to ensure you arrive on time. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, you will not be able to join the class to avoid disruption to the rest of our guests.. No refunds or class credits are given to late guests.
What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?
PUBLIC CLASSES GROUPS OF 1-2: Fully refundable if cancelled 48+ hours before class time. From 24-48 hours before class time the reservation paid value can be transferred to another class. No refund or event credits if cancelled less than 24 hours before class time. PUBLIC EVENTS - GROUPS OF 3 OR MORE: Require at least 7 days advanced notice for refund or reschedule credits. PRIVATE EVENTS: Fully refundable if cancelled 14+ days in advance. No refunds if cancelled <14 days before scheduled private event.
What are you doing to ensure the studio is safe to visit during COVID?
We are adhering to all of the requirements in Ohio's Responsible Restart Plan. 1. Reduced capacity to ensure social distancing between groups of people. 2. Disinfecting all surfaces between classes. 3. Washing aprons after every use. 4. Require employees to wear masks at all times. Guests are required to wear masks when not drinking a beverage. 5. Limiting movement around the studio - drinks will be brought to your tables. 6. Hand sanitizer is available at every table.
How are you handling social distancing in the studio?
We are able to utilize the studio's 2,200 square feet to socially distance our guests. Class sizes are limited and the set-up will be customized for each class, depending on the needs of the group. In all cases, unique groups of guests will be separated by at least 6 ft. This equates to 25-30% of our previous capacity. We are also asking guests to limit their movement around the studio. We have a long narrow foyer and are easily able to ensure proper distancing during the check-in process.
Can I bring my own drinks?
BYOB is not allowed by our liquor license. We do have a full bar with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for purchase.
Where do I park?
There's easy to use permit or metered street parking in the area OR 3 parking garages within a short 3-5 minute walk.
How do I sign up for a class?
Signing up is easy. Click the "Classes" link on the side of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint, type the number of seat in the white box and click "Add to Cart." Sign in if you are a Pinot Perks member and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the order.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are not required but highly recommended in case the class is sold out OR to prevent a small class from being cancelled. We have assigned seating so that if you don't have a reservation but your friends do, you may not be able to sit with them.
Is there an age limit for public classes?
Yes. Unless specifically noted on the calendar, the age requirements are 18+ for classes that begin at 6PM or later. 13-17 year olds are welcome with a paid adult at earlier classes.
Do you offer classes for kids or families?
Yes. Check our calendar for both kid and family oriented classes where the age requirement is 7+.
I don't have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely and it is easier than you might imagine! Our instructors are professional artists themselves and are well trained in making the painting process simple and enjoyable for painters of all skill levels. Everyone gets step by step instructions at a comfortable pace.
What do I wear to class?
It's up to you...there is no dress code. We will provide you with an apron to protect your clothing but artists have been known to become part of their work of art.
What size of canvas will be used?
Unless otherwise noted, 16x20 inch canvas is used.
Can I bring someone that doesn't want to sign up for a class?
To ensure a fun experience for everyone, we do not allow non-painting guests at public events (except as noted for Family Days). After all our motto is Paint. Drink. Have Fun!
What is your inclement weather policy?
If weather causes us to cancel class, you will receive a class credit for a future date of your choice. You may also request a refund via e-mail up to 24 hours past the date of the class. If our studio is open and you choose to not come to class due to inclement weather, you will receive a class credit for a future class good for 60 days if you request the credit at least 4 hours prior to the start of class.
