Frequently Asked Questions

ARE BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN ALLOWED IN ADULT CLASSES?

NO! BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ADULT CLASSES. BABIES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY CLASS.

Q) How do I sign up for a class?

Click the "Event Calendar" link above. This will display our current Class schedule. Select which painting you would like to paint and click on it. Enter the number of seats you'd like and click "Add to Cart." Follow directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.

Q) What days are classes held?

Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wed., Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons!. We occasionally have classes on other nights during the week as well as on Saturday and Sunday afternoons- view our class calendar to find out more!

Q) What time should I arrive to my class?

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time of your class. This will allow you time to get settled and mingle before the painting starts. We do start our classes on time at the Princeton Studio!

Q) I can't even draw a straight line...will I be able to do this and complete the painting?

Absolutely! Most guests have never painted a day in their life or at least since they were in pre-school. Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect

Q) Is there an age limit for the regularly scheduled public classes?

Yes, we are a BYOB art entertainment studio. We do have kid specific classes or family days for kids ages 8-14 (check out our monthly calendar). The regular public classes have the following requirements: -18 years old and up -15-17 years old with an adult. And no babies in any classes.

Q) Is there reserved seating?

Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you even arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class and you want to sit together- let us know when you book the class. If you forgot to tell us at booking, just email us at princeton@pinotspalette.com - please give us at least 24 hours notice.

Q) What do I need to bring to class?

We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. All you need to bring are any drinks and food you might want to enjoy! We also provide the wine glasses, corkscrews, ice & ice buckets, paper plates, napkins, and plasticware.

Q) Can I bring something other than wine? What about food?

The studio is BYOB so no hard liquor is permitted. You may bring wine, champagne, beer and non-alcoholic beverages as well as any food and/or snacks of your choice. Cold water is always available. There will be a large ice bucket to put white wine or beer in during the class. We do expect all painters to be responsible with alcohol on and off the premises

Q) What should I wear to class?

No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art.

Q) Can I bring a friend with me to just sit and watch?

Unfortunately seats are limited. We do not allow people to attend our painting classes without a reservation. And there is no fun in just watching....get your friend to make a reservation to paint, drink and have fun with you at the studio!

Q) When does the monthly calendar get posted?

We try to post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the prior month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list.

Q) What is your cancellation policy for regular public classes?

Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: PINOT'S PALETTE PRINCETON IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A GREAT EXPERIENCE TO ALL OF OUR GUESTS - NOTHING MAKES US HAPPIER! Our Cancellation Policy was created to best serve all of our customers and applies to our public classes. (Private parties require a minimum of 10 business day's notice to receive a refund or reschedule). Cancellation Policy: Due to the custom nature of our events, all sales are final, and no refunds are given. If you make a reservation and are unable to attend, we will issue a studio credit with 48 hour advance notice (and by email request only - we do not accept cancellations by phone). Please send your request for a credit to princeton@pinotspalette.com. Loss of payment will occur if no email has been received 48 hours prior to the class start time. Thank you. Groups of 3 or more require 5 days written notice of cancellation to be eligible for a reschedule (if we make an exception and make a refund, a processing fee of $10 per seat will be charged). Cheers, The Pinot's Palette Princeton Team Kathleen & Michael, owners

Q) How does "reschedules" work?

When given a "reschedule" - that reschedule is good for up to 30 days, no longer, unless specifically changed by the owner.

What is the policy for a refund for private and corporate parties?

Cancel in 10 business days and you get a full refund. Less than that, you lose the deposit.
