Q) How do I sign up for a class?
Click the "Event Calendar" link above. This will display our current Class schedule. Select which painting you would like to paint and click on it. Enter the number of seats you'd like and click "Add to Cart." Follow directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.
Q) What days are classes held?
Classes are held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. We occasionally have classes on other nights during the week as well as on Saturday and Sunday afternoons- view our class calendar to find out more!
Q) What does a class cost?
Weeknight classes are 2 hours and cost $38 per painter. Friday and Saturday evening classes are 3 hours and cost $48 per painter.
Q) Is there reserved seating?
Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you even arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class and you want to sit together- let us know when you book the class. If you forgot to tell us at booking, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org - please give us at least 24 hours notice.
Q) What time should I arrive to my class?
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time of your class. This will allow you time to get settled and mingle before the painting starts.
Q) What do I need to bring to class?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. All you need to bring are any drinks and food you might want to enjoy! We also provide the wine glasses, corkscrews, ice & ice buckets, paper plates, napkins, and plasticware.
Q) Can I bring something other than wine? What about food?
The studio is BYOB so no hard liquor is permitted. You may bring wine, champagne, beer and non-alcoholic beverages as well as any food and/or snacks of your choice. Cold water is always available. There will be a large ice bucket to put white wine or beer in during the class. We do expect all painters to be responsible with alcohol on and off the premises
Q) I can't even draw a straight line...will I be able to do this and complete the painting?
Absolutely! Most guests have never painted a day in their life or at least since they were in pre-school. Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect
Q) What should I wear to class?
No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art.
Q) Is there an age limit for the regularly scheduled public classes?
Yes, we are a BYOB art entertainment studio. We do have kid specific classes or family days for kids ages 7-14 (check out our monthly claendar). The regular public classes have the following requirements: -18 years old and up -15-17 years old with an adult.
Q) Can I bring a friend with me to just sit and watch?
Unfortunately seats are limited. We do not allow people to attend our painting classes without a reservation. And there is no fun in just watching....get your friend to make a reservation to paint, drink and have fun with you at the studio!
Q) When does the monthly calendar get posted?
We try to post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the prior month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list.
Q) What is your cancellation policy for regular public classes?
Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: If you cancel in writing [email: princeton@pinot's palette.com] 48 hours or more before class starts a full refund is available. You can also ask to put your reservation on hold for a later date or transfer the reservation to another class. If you cancel 24-48 hours prior to the class start time, you are able to put the class on hold or transfer to another class. A full refund will not be available. If you cancel within 24 hours there will be no refund, hold or transfer available. For groups of 3 or more, 5 days notice of cancellation must be made to qualify for a refund, hold, or transfer. All refund requests must be made in writing (email: email@example.com). Inclement Weather. If winter weather causes us to cancel a class, we will post it on our Facebook page and website and you will be notified by email. You will have the option to be refunded or have your reservation transferred to a future class. If we are holding a class, but the weather makes it impossible for you to drive to our studio the day of your reservation, please notify us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone at least 4 hours before the class start time and we will issue you a class credit. If you are hosting a Private Party at our studio, and would like to cancel due to inclement weather, we require at least 4 hours advance notice or you will lose your deposit.
Q) What is a Same Day Discount?
Before leaving the studio after a class they are taking, a discount is offered to any customer who reserves a seat for a future class of their choice. This Same Day Discount is $10 off both a regular 2-hour or 3-hour class ($38 class = $28 and $48 class = $38). Two restrictions apply: [a] Not included in this offer are private parties, Paint My Pet, fundraisers, and already-discounted classes (for example Girls Night Out or Mommy and Me); [b] while refunds will be made with at least 48 hours written email notice, holds or class transfers are not allowed for Same Day Discount reservations.
