Perfect Pair for the New YearThis New Year we here at Pinot's Palette know the need for great NEW recipes. This week we have a great pair that will be a great treat for any holiday occasion! Below are the recipes for Bri's Pumpkin cake and red wine hot coco.
Bri's Pumpkin Cake:
You will need…
9 inch round Bundt cake pan
1 box of yellow cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can of pumpkin mix
Eggs according to what the box says plus one
You also use butter instead of oil so get as much better as the box says as well
Powdered sugar for the top
And 1 bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
Now you just follow the directions on the back of the box while adding in the chocolate chips and can of pumpkin as a bonus. Instead of using water, substitute with the sweetened condensed milk.
When it comes out of the oven, let it cool, then put it on a plate and sprinkle powdered sugar over the top. Now you have a perfect dessert for any holiday party!
Red Wine Hot Coco:
You will need…
1/3 cup unsweetened coco powder
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 cups of milk
½ cup of red wine
A pinch of salt
Mix the unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and ½ cup of milk into a sauce pan until it starts to a simmer. Then over medium heat add in the rest of the milk and your wine, stirring thoroughly until it’s warm. And then, ENJOY! You can always add marshmallows as well.
