Canvas Free CreativityAs an artistic company, we employ very creative individuals that are capable of finding or making something artistic in so many different situations that don't involve a canvas.
You don't have to be good at drawing or painting to be considered and artistic person. There are countless ways that people express themselves or make a statement through art; music, fashion, acting, writing, photography, etc. You can even express yourself creatively by coming up with a new way to express yourself! (Imagine the first person to do ventriloquism - probably got a few odd looks before it caught on!)
How is photography artistic?
It is far more than just taking a good photo; it is about showing a side to the image that portrays to other people how feel about the subject, or an underlying representation like an emotion. For instance, you could take a photo on a very cold day but focus show the sun coming up over a calm sea giving the impression it is warm. You are focusing on the elements of your choosing from the day to share the way that sight made you feel. Photography is more than merely showing what you see, it is the way of communicating a sight in the way that only you see it.
How is fashion artistic?
In a society increasingly focused upon image, where the single greatest influence on a first impression is someone’s physical appearance, does what you choose to wear define who you are? It’s most certainly true that people make assumptions about you based on what they see. Fashion has always been a way to express a personal standpoint whether it be politically motivated, a religious stance or just a big screw you to your ex boyfriend to remind him what he's missing. Wake up in a sunny mood? Accessorize that smile with a neon coral tote. Feeling unfabulous? Black head to toe! Express how you feel instantly without having to say a word.
What about writing, or music?
When it comes to writing, people can express creativity through writing fiction and bringing to life an entire story that was thought only in one person's mind. It allows people that are reading it to create a picture within their own mind of how It creates a record of a person's thoughts which are often times easily forgotten. Yet having
You go on a bus and listen to the music, you go out and you simply have to listen to the music, even on TV, especially during commercial breaks you get to hear the latest tunes. You are being exposed daily to other people's view on the world; you are up-to-date no matter what you do. And you don't even know it.
Graffiti - isn't that vandalism?
Any passerby in an urban cityscape has observed the colorful, provocative, illegal "eyesore" that is graffiti. Although many consider the spray-painted pieces a nuisance, graffiti has been gaining recognition from the art world more and more as a legitimate form of art. When most people think of graffiti, they imagine "tags," or a stylized writing of a person's name. While tags are probably the most popular forms, graffiti art is much more than that. It can mean a colorful mural with a message of diversity or a black and white stencil piece protesting police brutality. In each case, graffiti art makes a statement.
