What is Pinot's Palette?

Pinot's Palette is Howard County's premiere paint and sip destination. We have an upscale studio that can hold up to 46 painters. You come to us for an entertaining evening where you create a masterpiece and memories with your friends and family. We also have a full bar so you can enjoy libations while you paint. Pinot's Palette is truly the place to Paint. Drink. Have Fun.

Do I need to be an artist to attend a class?

No! We will help you discover your inner artist. :-) Our talented artists will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure you stay on track to completing your very own masterpiece. There are no mistakes at Pinot's Palette...only happy accidents.

How do I sign up for a class?

Signing up is simple! Go to and select Event Calendar. Click on the class/painting event you want to attend and register by using the on-screen directions. If you have any questions or would like assistance from a staff member, please call us at 443-420-8378.

Can I bring my own food to Pinot's Palette?

Yes! Feel free to bring in any food items you'd like. We provide paper plates, napkins and plastic utensils for your convenience.

Where are we located?

We are located in Turf Valley Towne Square off of Marriottsville Road near Route 40 and I-70. Our address is: 11105 Resort Road, Suite 105, Ellicott City, MD 21042.

When do I need to arrive for class?

Adult Events - We open our doors 30 minutes prior to the scheduled class time. We recommend arriving no later than 10 minutes prior to a class start time. Family Day Events - we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled class time.

Is there reserved seating?

Yes! Once you register for a class, we will have your easel reserved. If you have friends attending the class with you, please note this in your reservation and we will seat you all together. You may also send us an email with seating arrangement requests. Please provide at least 24 hours notice of seating arrangement requests.

What is your public class cancellation policy?

A full refund can only occur if more than 48 hours notice is provided prior to the start time of your class. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time of your class will be eligible for a class credit - no refunds will be provided. No refund or credit will be provided if a guest does not attend a class and does not provide advance notice.

What is your private party cancellation policy?

Private Parties may receive a full refund or a deposit transfer if we are notified at least 2 weeks in advance of your event date.

What should I wear to class?

No dress code here....except shirt, shoes and a positive attitude! We will provide you with a smock while you paint. On occasion, our guests have taken home paint on their clothes as a souvenir. We use acrylic paints and they do become permanent on clothing if not caught and cleaned quickly.

Is there an age requirement for public classes?

Yes. For all events beginning on or after 7 pm, you must be 18 or older to attend. Family Day Events provide age requirements per event.

Can I bring my own alcholic beverage?

Maryland Law prohibits us as a licensed facility from allowing customers to bring thier own alcoholic beverages from the outside.

What days are classes held?

Classes can be held any day of the week! In general, we will have adult (18 & up) public classes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. View our Event Calendar for all of our classes.

What does a class cost?

Adult classes are $38/painter for a 2 hour painting and $48/painter for a 3 hour painting. Family Day Events are $28/painter. *Please note this price does NOT include beverages purchased from our bar.

When does the next calendar get posted?

What is the canvas size used for painting?

Most of the time we will be painting on 16" x 20" canvases. On occasion, we host Mini Painting events and will use 10" x 10" canvases.

Is Pinot's Palette - Ellicott City locally owned?

Yes! Pinot's Palette is a national franchise. However, each location including Ellicott City is locally owned and operated.
