Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for a class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" link on the top of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Feel free to call us at 208-930-4763 if you have trouble completing your order and we will be more than happy to help you over the phone.

What does a class cost and what does it include?

Our paint classes range from $35 - $45, depending on the duration of the class. All classes include instruction by our top-notch, fabulous local artists, a 16x20" cotton canvas, and use of our brushes, paint, easels, and aprons. Be sure to add yourself to our monthly email list for exclusive discounts and promotions!

When do I need to show up for my class?

We open our doors 30 minutes before the class, so feel free to come early to mingle with friends. All of our classes begin promptly at the scheduled time, so we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes beforehand to get settled.

Is there reserved seating?

Absolutely! We always make a seating chart for our public classes, that way we can ensure that your group is seated all together. Be sure to let us know who you'd like to be with when you make your reservation. All reservations paid together will automatically be seated together.

What is your cancellation policy?

Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: A full refund can occur if notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before class start. The reservation can be put on hold to sign up and attend another class if notification is received at least 24 hours before class start. Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to class start. This cancellation policy applies to parties of 4 or less. For cancellation of a party of 5 or more, a minimum of five days notice is required for a refund or to reschedule.

What do I need to bring with me?

Due to Idaho state law, we do card at the door so be sure to bring your ID! We provide everything you need to create your own masterpiece. Wine, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages are available for purchase at our bar, and you're more than welcome to bring any food or snacks that you'd like to munch on while you sip and paint. We have plates, napkins, and utensils available for you to use.

What if I have zero artistic ability?

Not a problem! Our talented artists make it easy for ANYONE to complete the painting. All of our paintings were created for people who have NEVER picked up a paintbrush, so you'll be in good hands! Don't believe us? Check out our Facebook page, where we always post a group photo of everyone with their paintings on our stage. They all always look beautiful!

When will you post next month's calendar?

We always release our calendar in the middle of the month. If you'd like to be alerted when the calendar goes live, feel free to add yourself to our monthly email list. That way you'll get first dibs at signing up for classes before they sell out, exclusive offers, and a discount!

What should I wear to class?

We provide a smock for you to wear, but people have been known to get some paint on their clothes from time to time. We recommend wearing something you're comfortable in, that you wouldn't be devastated if you got a bit of paint on. But hey if you do get paint on your clothes, it just gives you another excuse to come back and see us in your new paint outfit!

Is there an age limit for your classes?

Yes, due to Idaho state liquor laws, all guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend a class. We do have off-site events from time to time where minors can come, so be sure to check our calendar for our latest news!

How much do drinks cost?

Check out our bar menu by clicking the button in the top left under the words Coeur d'Alene. Our studio does not allow BYOB.

Do you allow people to come and observe and not paint?

Unfortunately due to our seating capacity we do not allow people to attend our painting classes with out a reservation.
