Class Details

Transport yourself to tranquil misty mountains with a beautiful sunset glow.

The event is in Support of the Children’s Initiative through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The difference of the cost the ticket is going towards raising funds to find the cure for with these horrible diseases.

Simply put, we need help.

Why:
Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and Leukemia is the #1 most diagnosed form of childhood cancer. However, in the last 40 years only 4 blood cancer drugs were created specifically for children, and statistically 80% of childhood cancer survivors develop a chronic health condition from their treatment. In this year alone Delaware will see an estimated 510 New cases of Leukemia and Lymphoma, and it is also estimated that about 180 of those cases will lead to death.

On top of the emotional rollercoaster these illnesses cause, the financial burden it can place on families is also devastating. Research shows, within one year of cancer diagnosis, families are 2.5x more likely to file for bankruptcy as compared to others.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. They spend less than 24% in Administrative fees/Fundraising costs, thereby directing nearly 76% of the funds raised to Programs that give directly back to patients, and research.

Doors open at 3:30pm, painting begins at 4pm.
