Frequently Asked Questions
This is my first time, what should I expect?
Expect a relaxed, fun atmosphere - no experience necessary. Studio artists will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code, however, be warned that acrylic paint might stain some fabrics. We will make every effort to remove any stray paint, but we cannot guarantee it.
Can I arrive early?
Yes, doors open 30 minutes before class time. Most guests arrive 15-20 minutes early to get settled and mingle. Painting starts promptly, so if you are running late, we ask that you call us at 845.896.8500. For the best class experience, please arrive no later than 15 minutes past start time.
Can I walk-in and paint?
Reservations are highly recommended; classes tend to sell out.
Is there reserved seating?
Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class in the seating request section. Unfortunately due to our seating capacity we do not allow people to attend our painting classes without a reservation.
Is there an age limit for public classes?
Public class age requirements are as follows; Ages 13-15 can purchase/attend with an adult reservation who is also painting. Ages 16 and up can purchase a reservation/attend a class on their own. We do have Family Events/Little Brushes events for painters 6 and up. All attendees most have a paid reservation.
Are drinks included with my reservation? Are you a BYOB?
We have a fully stocked wine & beer bar serving a variety of reds, whites, beers and non-alcoholic beverages as well as snacks and small plates. Our menu can be found on the blog page. We are NOT a BYOB and no outside alcohol will be permitted into our studio pursuant to NY ABC Law.
