What exactly is Pinot's Palette York?
Pinot's Palette York is a BYOB Paint & Sip Studio! During an event, our talented and friendly artist will walk everyone through the featured painting. Don't worry, no artistic talent is required, we promise! The artist will break the painting down into simple, easy to follow steps, all while playing music and just generally having a great time in a laid back and fun envoronment. At the end of the event, each guest is left with the masterpiece that he/she created, along with memories of a great experience!
Where is the studio located?
We are easy to find! We are conveniently located in the West Manchester Town Center in York, PA along with Kohl's. We are positioned behind The Loft, beside Tropical Smoothie, and diagonal from the new Fine Wine & Good Spirits. Our address is: 695 Town Center Drive, York, PA 17408.
How do I sign up for a public painting event?
Signing up is easy! Click the Event Calendar tab at the top of our page. Select the date or painting you'd like to sign up for. Add the amount of seats you'd like to purchase. Click on the yellow Add To Cart Button. Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. If you want to take advantage of a current special that we may be running, make sure to enter the coupon code during the check out process to receive the discount. Just click on "Apply Gift Certificate, Credit or Discount," enter your code, and click Apply to see your discount reflected.
Do I have to purchase my seat for a public painting event in advance?
You don't have to, but we highly recommend it! We do welcome walk-ins, but your seat for the event isn't reserved until it is purchased. Once purchased, you're guaranteed that seat will be available when you arrive and any in-advance seating requests will be a priority.
Are there age restrictions for regular public events?
Yes, we are a BYOB art entertainment studio. All regular public events are for ages 10+ with anyone 10-17 being accompanied by a responsible adult who is also painting. Please keep an eye out for child-friendly events noted on our calendar which are 5+ when accompanied by a responsible adult.
What time should we arrive?
We recommend that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the event starts. This allows time for you to get settled in at your seat, prepare your beverages, snacks, etc. and mingle with friends before the fun begins.
What should I wear?
That is completely up to you - dress casual or dress up! It is your day or evening out on the town and we want you to be comfortable! However, just keep in mind that you are painting your own masterpiece and there is potential for paint to end up places other than your canvas. With that in mind, we will provide you with Pinot's Palette aprons for the event to help in that department along with cubbies to put any items that you don't wish to get paint on.
I'm not exactly artistically talented...will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will help ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of the event. Each and every painting will end up being unique to the individual guest. You will be amazed and inspired by your hidden creative ability. There is an artist inside all of us!
Is the seating reserved for a public event?
Yes, we take care of all the details, including seating! We set up your canvas on it's easel, have your palette and brushes ready to paint, and guests' creative spaces are reserved with names in chalk on the tables when everyone arrives. If you have friends attending the party that you'd like to sit by, you can let us know when you book or you can send us an email. Seating is not reserved during a private party, unless requested by the party organizer.
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the event. We also provide ice, standard plates, napkins, and cuttlery for any food that you might want to bring for your personal enjoyment during the party. We have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages for purchase (soda, juice, etc.) as well as an assortment of snacks. You can of course bring your favorite bottle of wine (or any beverage!) and food items if you wish.
Do I need to bring a glass for my wine?
Nope! We have you covered with wine glasses, bottle openers, wine stoppers, and ice already in studio, ready for when you arrive!
What if I have already purchased my seat but can't make it to the event?
Please contact us ASAP to let us know that you will no longer be able to attend. We do not issue refunds once a seat is reserved, but with advance notice of at least 24 hours for a regular event, we can issue a credit for you to use towards another upcoming event in our studio. Unfortunately, notice received less than 24 hours in advance or a no-show to an event will not be eligible for a refund or credit. Please note that for some specialty events (Project Pet, etc.) all sales are final and a cancellation even with notice, is not eligible for a refund or credit.
During Little Brushes events, can I sit next to my child while he/she paints?
You absolutely can, but the seat must be purchased. To ensure all of our guests have the same enjoyable experience and that all seats can be accounted for in our booking process for classes, we do require that all seats be purchased. In order to just observe during a painting class, you would be required to purchase the seat and then if you choose not to paint while there, that is certainly up to you. The other option to just "sit in" would be to come in for one of our Open Studio events.
What is Open Studio?
Open Studio events are no-reservation necessary, all-age (all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult), walk-in events where individual seats are not purchased, but you pay per place setting of supplies. An artist doesn't actually walk you through the painting, but you choose from our selection of self-guided paintings when you come in and then we provide you with written instructions on how to complete the masterpiece on your own. If you're interested in this type of environment, keep an eye out on our calendar for upcoming events showing as Open Studio.
Can I bring a friend with me to just sit in and not paint during a public painting event?
We can't imagine why they'd want to be singled out from the fun, but hey, to each their own! If a friend wishes to attend but not participate, they can, but a seat must be purchased for them. During a private event, that is of course at the discretion of the party organizer.
I want to have a private adult event in studio. How do I go about that?
We're always so happy and excited to have private events in studio and we love to bring the fun! Please see our Private Party Terms & Conditions for details and if you're ready to go ahead and reserve your date, you can do so online by clicking on the "Private Parties" tab and then "Book My Private Party Now." To reserve the date for your party, a $250.00 deposit is required and on the day of the party, this deposit can be applied fully or partially to the party balance. Depending on your party type, guests may pay individually ahead of time or the total for the party can be paid for on the day of the event if you choose. Please note that the deposit is not refundable if for any reason the private event is cancelled by the reserving party. If you know the details as far as which painting you would like to be featured during your event, please let us know when you submit your deposit as well. To view our Painting Library, hover over the Private Events tab and then click "Painting Library." Please note that the price per party guest does differ if you select a 2-hour painting versus a 3-hour. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the studio directly.
What is the minimum guest count for a private party?
The minimum charge for a private party is based on a count of 10 guests. You may have more or less guests, but the MINIMUM CHARGE will be for a total of 10 guests. Please see our Private Party Terms & Conditions for more party info or feel free to contact the studio directly!
What is a Project Pet Event?
Project Pet is a one of a kind event where guests paint portraits of one of their own pets! Once your seat is purchased, you email a picture of your pet to the studio (dog, cat, turtle, duck, horse, you name it!) and then we have that picture printed onto a canvas. When you arrive for the event, our talented artist will walk everyone through the process of painting the image so you are left with a beautiful painted masterpiece. Please note that this is a custom event and once a seat is purchased, all sales are final and no refunds or credits will be given. Due to the pre-printing necessary, this is also an event with a deadline to book and to submit a photo. Be sure to keep an eye out for that deadline and make sure to have your seat reserved and your photo in on time.
For Project Pet, can I paint more than one of my pets at the same time?
Unfortunately, no. Only one pet may be printed on a single canvas due to the size of the canvas, the details involved, and the time allotted for the event. If you have more than one pet, please keep an eye out for future Project Pet events where you can create a masterpiece of another one of your loved companions.
