Frequently Asked Questions

Can we bring food?

You can bring any food and non-alcoholic beverages you want! We provide complimentary paper plates, plastic utensils, and bottled water.

Why can't I bring my own alcohol?

We are one of the only studios in Houston to have a bar that serves beer and wine. While we can't legally allow outside alcohol to be brought in, we have a long list of wines by the glass and bottle, and beer and cider selections.

Can I bring my kid to a regular class?

Our regular classes are more of an adult environment, especially as guests are drinking, but we do allow ages 13 and up, with a parent required to accompany anyone ages 13-17. Please note we cannot control the conversation that goes on around you. For younger painters, be sure to look for Family Day classes, as those are open to all ages.

Will we actually begin painting at the time stated on the event?

Yes! We will always begin painting at the time listed for that event. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to get settled in.

Where exactly are you located in the Champions Village Shopping Center?

We are located right behind La Madeleine. Our studio faces Champion Forest Dr.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

While we happily accommodate walk-ins pending availability, it really helps to sign up ahead of time. That way we have everything ready to go for when you arrive!

Are you located near Willowbrook Mall?

We're actually located about 2 miles east of the Wall, on the SE corner of FM1960 & Champions Forest Dr.

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable to paint in! We do provide aprons, which help protect your clothes, but it's best to not wear your very favorite outfit just in case.

Is there reserved seating?

Yes there is. We write everyone's names at their seats ahead of time, so if you're coming with a group, please indicate so when you sign up, or send us an email, and we'll seat you together! Please give us at least a few hours notice for special seating requests.

I have no artistic ability, so will my painting look ok?

Yes! No experience required! Our skilled artists will walk you step-by-step through the painting, and paint it live on stage with you, and will also walk around and help out! Also we provide chalk for paintings that require drawing, so you can make sure you are happy with your drawing before committing paint to the canvas.
