If you opt for a team sport, you have the chance to make new friends. Consider taking an art class or attend a paint and sip class with friends - or alone and meet new people! Warm yourself up by getting your creative juices flowing.
However, you must find ways to remain active even during the cold season; here are a few suggestions.
1. Think positively! Winter means not just cold weather. Get out and play! Build a snowman with your loved ones and fight with snowballs - all these activities keep you in good shape, not to mention that you will have a lot of fun!
2. Start practicing a winter sport. Go to skating or skiing, because these sports burn many calories. Wear proper clothes and equipment and stay in wind-protected areas.
3. Be creative at home! You may not want to go to the gym when the snow is one meter high, but that is not an excuse to be sedentary! Find a DVD with exercising, put on your favorite music and start moving!
