Class Details

Paint a portrait of your pet at Project Pet. Once you sign up for the painting, email us a high quality digital photo of your pet (one pet per canvas, please) and we will do the rest. Each photo will be transferred onto a 16”X20” canvas. Our talented artists will walk you through the steps to create your very own Pet Portrait!

We are hosting a paint your pet fundraiser with Sea Girt Animal Hospital, on Route 35. Sea Girt Animal Hospital works with and supports Rose's Fund for Animals which helps pet owners and rescued animals pay vet bills for needy dogs, cats and other pets! $10 of each class registration will be donated. Thank you so much for your support!

We look forward to receiving your pet photos, at, by October 31.

A GREAT pet portrait starts with a GREAT photo!

Here are some tips for success:
* 1 pet per person/per photo
* Highest resolution possible
* Pet is clear and in the foreground with no furniture, objects, grass, etc. blocking any body parts
* Pet is centered in the photo either FULL BODY or HEAD SHOT, with no cropped off edges.
* Our best advice is to take a photo of your pet with the best camera you have outside during the day, under a shaded area (like your front porch, back patio, or inside near a window). Remember, the better your photo is, the easier the painting process will be.

Here’s what you can expect when you come to the Project Pet Class:
* Your pet photo will be printed directly onto the center of 16x20 canvas in black and white with a few shades of gray. This will allow you to create the best and most detailed masterpiece possible! We will also provide you with a 4x6 copy of the original photo you sent in, for your reference during class.
* Based on the colors of your pet, primary colors and popular colors, your paint palette will be ready for you when you come in. However, if you are not pleased with the colors provided or would like to add more colors, feel free to help yourself to the paint cart at any time during class.

Please feel free to call or email with any questions regarding your pet photos. We are here to help you paint a beautiful portrait you will admire for years to come!

Thanks and we look forward to painting with you soon!

Frequently Asked Questions

Check out our FAQs to learn more about what to expect from your Pinot's Palette experience or feel free to call the studio to speak to a member of our staff.

  • When is the studio open?

    We are open from 11am-3pm for business hours M-F (except major holidays). Classes are held throughout the week from 11am-10pm. View our class calendar to find out more!

  • I have never attended a paint and sip class before. How does it work?

    A public class features a masterpiece selected by the studio. You can register one (1) to 42 painters. This painting is indicated on our calendar by a picture of the painting. The class will be open to anyone. A private party is a private paint party where the day and time (based on availability) in addition to the painting is chosen by the host. The private party is open to invitees only.

  • I don’t have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?

    Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to complete your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.

  • When does the calendar get posted?

    We try to post the upcoming month's calendar around the 20th of the prior month. If you would prefer to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to join our Pinot's Palette Insider Newsletter:

  • How do I sign up for a public class?

    Signing up is easy. Click on the "Event Calendar" link near the top of the page to view our calendar. Select the painting you would like to paint and click "Add to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Or call the studio and we will be happy to take your reservation over the phone.
