New Artist AlertNew local artist alert! Meet Pinot's Palette Wall Township's newest instructor, Matt!
- I studied art at Monmouth University, and my professors were very passionate role models that taught me to take my art and my work ethic seriously. I am interested in visual storytelling at large, whether this is done through a single picture, like a painting, or through animation or other mediums.
What is your personal favorite art style?
- My personal favorite art style is surrealism. However, I also largely enjoy pop art and offshoots of surrealism like cubism.
What do you love about working at Pinot's Palette?
- My favorite thing about Pinot’s Palette Wall Township by far is the friendly, laid-back environment. The painting events foster a positive attitude and I’ve greatly enjoyed getting to know the painters that come to wine and paint classes.
What is your best advice for new-comers?
- My best advice for new painters is to start small and let yourself enjoy the painting process. Don’t be so worried with perfecting the end result; the fact that you were able to sit down and partake in the painting process is already a victory in and of itself. Be happy with progress, no matter how small, and remember that nobody is absolutely perfect when they first start out.
Keep an eye out on the calendar of when Matt is teaching the next painting and wine class here at the Jersey Shore!
