Can I bring my own wine or beer?
No, we do not allow any outside alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages of any kind. BYOB is not allowed due to California law. We do have a beer and wine bar on site that serves reds, whites, sparkling, beer and cider by the glass or by the bottle for purchase.
I purchased a Painting Kit, when can I come pick it up?
Our dedicated hours for Painting Kit pick-up for our To-Go Kits and Virtual #PinotLive and On Demand classes are Tuesday through Friday 12pm-4pm, however kits may also be picked up other hours when we are in the studio. Check our normal business hours and Class Event schedule or please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for other Painting Kit pick-up times.
How do I sign up for an event?
Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" link on the side of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.
What does an event cost?
2 hour events cost $35 per painter. 3 hour events cost $45 per painter. Upgrade to a wood pallet for an additional $10.
When do I need to arrive for the event?
We recommend you arrive 15-20 minutes before the event starts to allow time for you to get settled in and mingle before the painting starts.
Is there an age requirement to attend events?
We offer classes for different age ranges. Check the class description of what age range is permitted. Kids parties can be booked any time depending availability. Call the studio at 661.260.0846 if you have questions.
What is the cancellation policy?
While we regret to lose the opportunity to paint with you, our Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: In-studio classes cancelled due to mandated government shutdown, inclement weather or other emergencies will automatically be replaced with a live virtual class or class recording and paint kit, available for pick-up at the studio or delivered for a $5 fee. In the event that an alternate format for the class is unavailable, a complimentary credit will be issued. Customers may also choose to transfer their reservation to another class provided the class is the same value. Customers may obtain a refund for the class transaction amount minus a fee to cover administrative labor and merchant services costs associated with card transactions. A $10 Service Fee will apply to all requested refunds $200 and under, or 6% of sales total over $200. There are no refunds for Paint Kits or any virtual class once the video link has been sent to the customer (day of the scheduled event for virtual events purchased from the calendar).
Is there reserved seating?
When you sign up in advance we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for the event. If you have friends attending the event that you’d like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class or you can send us an email (…just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice).
What do I need to bring to an event?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the event. All you need to bring are any appetizers you might want during the event. No outside alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages allowed (California law does not allow BYOB). We also have plates, napkins, and silverware. Wine, beer and other beverages may be purchased from our bar. We have ice - no need to bring your own! Please remember to bring your identification to confirm you are over 21 years of age.
I don't have any artistic talent. Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.
When does the next calendar get posted?
We try to post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list.
What should I wear to the event?
No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art.
Can I bring my own snacks?
We will have light snacks available for purchase, but you can bring your own food to Pinot's Palette.
What days are events held?
Events are generally held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons. We also occasionally have events on other nights during the week & on Saturday afternoons – view our events calendar to find out more!
