The 90+ Study is one of the largest studies of the oldest-old in the world. The research focuses on the fastest growing age group in America—those living past 90.
Dr. Claudia Kawas, a neurology specialist is head of the 90+ Study a t the University of California. Summarizing data results from more than 1,600 project partipants, she reported that, “While exercising regularly and partaking in a hobby for two hours a day were associated with longer lives the study results showed that people who drank two glasses of wine (or beer) a day improved their odds of living longer than those who abstained by about 18 percent.”
