St. Patrick's Day PartyWith St. Patrick's Day landing on a Saturday this year, it leaves the day open for lots of fun activities throughout the day. However, if you're not one for crowds and would rather host a St. Patrick's Day party, here are a few hosting ideas!
Obviously, this is incredibly important on St. Patrick's Day as the beverage of choice is typically green beer. If you want to add variety to your menu, our other top choices are:
Green Apple Sangria - 1 bottle of white wine (we prefer a dry white), 12oz ginger ale, 1-2 large sliced granny smith apples.
Bailey's Espresso Martini - 2oz Bailey's Irish Cream, 1/4 oz vodka, 2 oz cold espresso. Shake with ice and garnish with a cherry.
Shamrock Sour - 2 tablespoons lime juice, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/4 c simple syrup, 2 oz Jameson, 1 drop of green food coloring. Shake and serve over ice.
We're all about corned beef sandwiches, but if you're just looking for appetizers to serve we suggest heading over to Genius Kitchen. They have some great St. Patty's Day appetizer recipes ranging from mini shepherd's pies to edamame hummus and even reuben crescent rolls.
If you don't want to spend a fortune on St. Patty's Day specific decor, head to Trader Joe's and buy some fresh flowers and greens and arrange them in a vase for a nice centerpiece. Have your kids color some pictures using different shades of green and replace them with framed photos for the day.
