Frequently Asked Questions
What days are classes held?
Classes are typically Wednesday-Saturday Evenings as well as Sunday afternoons. We also occasionally have classes at other times during the week. View our class calendar to find out what we've got coming up!
How do I sign up for a class?
Signing up is simple! Click the "Event Calendar" link on the top of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete your order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.
Is there reserved seating?
Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive to class. If you have friends attending the class that you'd like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class or you can send us an email (Please make sure to give us 24 hours notice.)
What does a class cost?
A 2 hour painting class is typically $35 per person and a 3 hour painting class is typically $45 per person.
When do I need to arrive for class?
We recommend you arrive 30 minutes before class starts to allow time for your to get settled in and mingle before the painting starts.
What is the cancellation policy?
Pinot's Palette cancellation policy is as follows: *A full refund can occur if notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before class start. You can also have the option to put the reservation on hold for a later date or transfer the reservation to another class. *The reservation can be put on hold or transferred to another class if notification is received at least 24 hours before class start. *Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to class start. *Project Pet - A full refund can occur if notification is given 14 business days before the day of the class. The reason for this is because we have to photoshop each pet & have them individually printed onto each canvas. *Project Pet - a class credit can be given to use on the next project pet class if notification is given at least 48 hours in advance.
What do I need to bring to the class?
A smile! We provide all your art supplies - canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. We also have a wine and beer bar (non alcoholic drinks available) where you can purchase your beverages. All you need to bring are any snacks or appetizers you might want during the class. We provide plates, napkins, and silverware.
Can I bring my own cocktails/alcohol to class?
Unfortunately, Ohio state laws do not allow BYOB into a business establishment. It violates the "Open container" law, so we got a liquor license in accordance to the law so our guests can enjoy a delicious variety of fun wine and beers which can be purchased at our bar. Must be at least 21 to drink & provide ID. We also offer some non-alcoholic beverages as well. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
What should I wear to class?
No dress code here! Dress casual, dress up, or come as you are. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art. if you get paint on your clothing, as long as the paint is still wet, we have a rpetty high success rate of getting the paint out. however, if the paint dries on your clothing you will have a Pinot's Palette memory forever.
When does the next calendar get posted?
We post the next month's calendar around or before the 15th of the current month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to join our newsletter. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click the yellow link that says "Sign Up Now."
I don't have any artistic talent. Will I be able to complete the painting?
ABSOLUTELY! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. We use acrylic paint, which dries quickly, and makes happy accidents easy to change.
Can I come to a class with a friend and not paint?
For all classes (except all ages welcome classes in which parents are assisting or carpooling children) all attendees must purchase a seat.
Is there an age limit for public classes?
Yes. We are a wine/beer art entertainment studio. We do have all ages classes available typically in the afternoons, but the evening public classes have the following requirements: 14 -15 year olds admitted with an adult, 16+ must show ID, 18 and above can attend any class, 21+ to drink with proper ID. All classes require adult supervision for anyone under with 15 or fewer years of age, otherwise an ID is required. At least one adult must be present per group of underage guests.
Where are you located and where do I park?
We are located in Grand Pacific Junction, downtown Olmsted Falls. We are the big green building next to the railroad tracks. There is ample street parking. There's a small lot next to our building, a large lot behind our building, and several other lots within walking distance.
Can I drop off my child and pick them up after class?
No. Underage painters must be accompanied by an adult. We are not licensed or insured to be a childcare provider and due to liquor being sold and consumed adult supervision is required.
Can I just come and not paint?
Paid reservations are required to attend class. Observers are not permitted except for adults accompanying underage guests. Underage guests must be accompanied by an adult.
Do classes ever get cancelled?
We would love to never cancel classes, but if there are fewer than 4 painters in a class we may need to change class date or issue refunds. If it looks like class will be fewer than 4 guests, we will reach out to you the day before via email or telephone based on the contact information you provide when you register for class.
