Meet the Artist - AudreyAudrey is a self-taught artist who took individual classes and read books on various types of art to help develop her techniques and create her own distinctive style. Since she was 17 years old, she’s been teaching daycare and she attended The College of Staten Island to study Childhood Education. Audrey says, “Being able to work with kids allows me to the be the big kid I still am. I love it. And their natural love is just inspiring to me.”
She dabbles in various forms of art, pushing the limits of creativity to all aspects of life. Not only is she an Artist at Pinot’s Palette North Shore in Staten Island, she models, primarily for Pinup Style Shoots, does photography, designs tattoos, manages a private tattoo studio, and does various other crafting – whether it be custom apparel, chalkboards, or first day of school signs, just to name a few. When it comes to her job here at the paint & sip studio, Audrey says; “Working at Pinot’s is a dream come true. It combines my love of teaching art and party hosting. I love being on the stage and showing people how to create something beautiful that they can’t even believe they accomplished until they reach the end of the class.” Audrey’s astounding talent, vibrant personality, and passion for teaching creates an energetic atmosphere anytime she enters the room.
Audrey is not simply an artist but a teacher; a teacher of art, of self-expression, of ambitiously chasing your dreams. She may use her educational background and experience to assist in instructing her classes but it is her love of art that causes her to inspire people to bring out their inner artist, no matter their differences, their age, or their level with painting. She is a force of encouragement looking to spread her artistic abilities through her love of teaching. She continues on to say, “The customers are great. Their energy really fuels the love and passion I have to do this.”
