Meet the Artist - DarleneIn addition to being a phenomenal artist who can transfer any image she sees perfectly onto the canvas, Darlene is an aspiring writer with a goal of being a top selling author.
However, writing is not the only thing about books that she loves. She obtained a degree in Illustration from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and she also aspires to be a graphic novel illustrator. But her talents and aspirations don’t stop there. She has experience sewing outfits and she is an amateur cosplay model with a true love for video games. Two other life goals are to become an actress and to work for Rooster Teeth.
Darlene began painting in the third grade; “It was when my teacher had us all ‘reproduce’ Monet’s Japanese foot bridge, and I’ve been basically painting ever since.” While she may have chosen to cultivate her talent because of this specific moment, she now tends to do digital paintings and illustrations from her writings. She is inspired by artists such as Yuumei and Monty Oum and she also serves as her own muse.
About working at Pinot’s Palette, she says, “I enjoy the fun atmosphere of Pinot’s and the people I work with. I’m doing what I love to do,” she continues, “Pinot’s customers are very kind people who enjoy fun and have no trouble seeing the fun and creativity in their own paintings.”
