Paint Your Fur BabyPainting Your Pet Great Fun!
Each year thousands of Pinot's Palette painters across the country, leave our studios with beautiful images of their furry friends that they can admire for years to come. This is traditionally one of our favorite classes for instructors and painters alike. You may not know that the process has changed in the years since Pinot's Palette started offering this class. Painters know that when they sign up for Project Pet, their is a bit of lead time required before the class. You send in your favorite photo of fido or cujo and our managers lovingly edit the photos, removing background and color, replacing it with a grayscale that creates a template for artists to follow. Initially, these images were printed out and adhered to the canvas with layers of artist medium. Artists and managers convened in advance for a big paper doll pet party, carefully cutting and gluing images onto the canvas. The results were usually pretty smooth. Eventually, however; whether the time was months or years, those little paws would come unglued and slowly roll up, ruining the picture. Fortunately, with access to industrial grade flat bed printers, your pets image is screen printed onto the canvas. This creates a permanent image that you can paint and enjoy forever!
