Little Brushes: Summer Camp!
Week 1- The Elements & Principles of Art - These are not painting classes.
Have a child ages 6-12 who’s taken a serious interest in creating? In this virtual crash course to visual image making, we will begin our studies this week with an introduction to the Elements and Principles of art. We will explore different ways that art is implemented in our daily lives, gain knowledge of the core components that make up any art piece, and we will put this knowledge to the test by applying what we learn to a project that will be completed throughout the week! A positive attitude and willingness to experiment will be paramount in this class.
LIVE INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL CLASS. THIS OPTION INCLUDES ALL OF YOUR ART SUPPLIES FOR PICK UP AT THE STUDIO. This class will not be held in the studio.
THIS IS A WEEK LONG COURSE WITH 1.5 HOUR INSTRUCTION PER DAY (MONDAY-FRIDAY) 06-15-2020 THRU 06-19-20.
MON - Intro to the Elements and Principles of Art
TUES - Reviewing Space, Lines, Shapes, Patterns, and Texture
WED - Intro to Proportion/ Scaling, Form, Movement, and Value

Please note that this specific week's focus is on drawing, not painting. There will be more crash courses to come, each week being different, some of which will entail painting, as well as other mediums, such as charcoal, pastels, etc..
