Class Details

Little Brushes allows young artists to get in on the fun.

Week 1- Landscapes & Perspective

Have a child ages 6-12 who’s taken a serious interest in creating? In this virtual crash course to visual image making, we will begin our studies this week with an introduction to the Elements and Principles of art. We will explore different ways that art is implemented in our daily lives, gain knowledge of the core components that make up any art piece, and we will put this knowledge to the test by applying what we learn to a project that will be completed throughout the week! A positive attitude and willingness to experiment will be paramount in this class.

LIVE INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL CLASS. THIS OPTION INCLUDES ALL OF YOUR ART SUPPLIES FOR PICK UP AT THE STUDIO. This class will not be held in the studio.

THIS IS A WEEK LONG COURSE WITH 1.5 HOUR INSTRUCTION PER DAY (MONDAY-FRIDAY) 06-22-2020 THRU 06-26-20.

MON - Intro to Drawing Landscapes
TUES - Intro to 1-Point Perspective
WED - 1-Point Perspective (cont.)
THUR - Intro to 2-Point Perspective
FRI - 2-Point Perspective (cont.)

You will receive a supply kit that includes everything you will need for the entire week, such as specific worksheets, a folder, multimedia paper, safety scissors, pencils, colored pencils, glue, a pencil sharpener, a ruler, a shoe box for a project we will be doing, and an emailed link to join the live interactive class from home!

Please note that this specific week's focus is on drawing, not painting. There will be more crash courses to come, each week being different, some of which will entail painting, as well as other mediums, such as charcoal, pastels, etc..

This Take-Home art kit is available for pick up on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, *MAKE SURE TO PICK UP AT LEAST 2 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF YOUR WEEKLY SESSION :)

If you experience technical issues during the live class or are unable to attend, a recording of the class will be available for 4 days following the event.

For questions or assistance in registering, please call the studio at (781) 862-3200.
