What should I wear to the class?
No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art.
What should I bring to class?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and appetizers.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation Policy: Due to the custom nature of our classes, NO REFUNDS will be issued. If notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours prior to the start of class, a credit for a future class will be given. You also have the option to transfer the reservation to another class. If notification is given between 48 to 24 hours prior to the start of the start of class, the reservation can be transferred to another class, but no credit will be given. Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to the start of class. Within 24 hours of class NO CREDITS OR RESCHEDULES will occur.
I don't have any artistic ability. Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.
Is there reserved seating?
Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class or you can send us an email (…just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice).
What days are public classes held?
Classes are held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings. We also occasionally have classes on other nights during the week – view our class calendar to find out more!
When do I need to arrive for class?
We recommend you arrive 30 minutes before class starts to allow time for you to get settled in and mingle before the painting starts.
What does a class cost?
Our classes run anywhere from $25-45 depending on the day, time, painting, and any specials we are running. Be sure to check our calendar for individual prices!
How do I sign up for a class?
Signing up is easy. Click the "Classes" link on the side of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.

Are there room fees for private parties?
If you want extra time to Paint, Drink and Have Fun, additional time can be purchased at $50 per 30 minutes. If your group happens to go over the allotted painting time, $50 per 30 minutes will come out of the deposit.
What is the inclement weather policy?
We take the safety of our guests and staff seriously. We will monitor the local weather stations as well as local road updates. If we cancel any class, you will be issued a 3 month class credit to our studio.
Can I bring a friend with me to sit next to me but not paint?
Unfortunately, due to our seating capacity we do not allow people to attend our painting classes without a reservation and painting.
How do I pay in cash?
When you purchase items in-studio, like frames or wine glasses, you can pay with cash. You can’t pay for paint and sip events with cash, because advance registration is required.
What does the cost include?
The cost includes all the art supplies you’ll need and 2-3 hours of painting instruction from an artist.
Do I have to paint what it shows?
Not at all. Most people paint the featured painting. If you want to paint something entirely different, go for it! We just want you to have fun.
Can I bring my baby?
No. Babies and small children are a distraction for other guests and make it hard to hear the artist’s instructions. Most studios won’t be able to accommodate a stroller or car seat next to your seat.
Can I come and watch, but not paint?
Everyone in the studio during the event must pay the full seat price.
I want to register, but not pay in advance.
Payment is required at the time of registration to guarantee a seat.
What is Open Studio?
At Open Studio events, you get all the supplies needed to paint, but there is no featured painting. You can choose an image from our painting library, or paint whatever you want. There’s no formal instruction, but artists are on hand to help.
Can my toddler paint?
Children under 13 are not permitted at public paint and sip events. However, we do offer Little Brushes® painting classes for kids. Children 5+ are welcome to these events. Children ages 3+ are welcome to join our Open Studio sessions. All children must be accompanied an adult during Open Studio.
What is a Date Night painting?
You and your date will paint separate canvases; when placed together, your canvases will match up to create one picture.
Do you have space for food?
Yes, but space is limited. Refrigeration and outlets are not available.
Where do we send our Project Pet photos?
Please email your photo in .jpg format to email@example.com.
Can I just come in and paint whenever?
No, our studio is only open during scheduled events.
Can we bring drinks?
Absolutely! We are BYOB and all guests 21+ are encouraged to enjoy their choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
Can we bring food?
Absolutely. We recommend finger foods, just to make it easy.
Can I show up early?
Please do! Most guests arrive 15-20 minutes early to get settled and start on their first drink.
Can I show up late?
Painting starts promptly, so you’ll have to catch up on your own if you arrive late.
This is my first time; what should I expect?
Expect a relaxed, fun atmosphere – there’s no pressure to be Van Gogh! We provide everything, including aprons to protect your clothes and a paint-free space for your purse or coat.
Do I need to know anything about art?
Not at all. Our artists provide easy, step-by-step instructions to help everyone produce a great finished product.
What is paint and sip?
Paint and sip events combine social drinking with painting. We are a BYOB studio. Everyone gets a canvas and follows an artist’s instructions to recreate the featured painting on their own canvas. Paint and sip is not a serious art course – it’s about socializing and having fun.
How do I register a group?
On the event page, select the number of people you want to add in the box next to the Register button. If you want to host a private paint and sip party, get in touch with us at 816.500.8915 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
