Can I bring my own wine?

No, unfortunately you cannot. Liquor laws vary by jurisdiction and Lake St. Louis does not allow bringing your own liquor. But don't worry, we have a wide variety of wine & beer available for purchase at our convenient in-studio bar! Leave those Yetis and Big Gulps in the car, no opened containers of any kind are permitted.

Does the class price include alcohol?

Alcohol is not included in the class price, as not everyone wants to consume alcohol. Our bar prices are very reasonable though and we carry something for just about every taste, including a variety of wine, beer, soda and teas.

What are the age requirements?

We are an art entertainment studio with many of our classes geared towards adults. Our evening public classes have the following requirements: 12 to 17 years old with an adult. Patrons must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol. Check our calendar for "Little Brushes" kids classes where the age requirement is five and up. We do not do drop offs, everyone under 17 must have a parent or guardian with them for the entire class.

Are there non-alcoholic drinks available?

Yes! We provide filtered mineral water for all of our guests. In addition, soda and iced tea are available for purchase. Leave those Yetis and Big Gulps in the car, opened containers are not permitted.

What is your Public class cancellation policy?

If you are a "no show" or cancel your reservation with less than 24 hours notice of the scheduled event, no refunds will be granted. If your cancellation is between 24-48 hours, an in-studio credit valid for 90 days will be issued. If you cancel before 48 hours in advance of the scheduled event a full refund can be granted.

What is your Private Event cancellation policy?

If you choose to cancel your private party your deposit can be fully refunded as long we're notified 10 or more business days from the scheduled event. Less than 10 business days before the event will result in the loss of your deposit.

Do I need a reservation/ what is the average cost of a class?

While reservations are not required, they are highly recommended to avoid missing the class due to a sell out. Usually the cost of an event is $35 per painter for a 2 hour party and $45 for a 3 hour.

I can't even paint a stick figure- will I be able to complete a painting?

Our classes are designed for guests with zero experience! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class.

Is there assigned seating?

Yes, we have assigned seating for all of our public classes. This ensures your entire party will be able to sit together. Let us know if you have friends attending with you when you make your reservation by clicking on the "Seating Requests" button so we can seat you all together. Private parties do not have assigned seating.

What is the cost or people requirement for private parties?

We require a 10 seat minimum. The cost of a private event is the same as a public $35 per painter for a 2 hour party and $45 for a 3 hour. As a private party you get to choose the time and date of your event, given it's available, as well as the painting.

Can I bring a friend or family member to watch but not paint?

To ensure a full and fun experience for everyone, we do not allow non-painting guests. The exception is Family Day, when a parent can bring their child but not paint.

What time should I arrive?

Usually we recommend arriving about 20 to 30 minutes before the scheduled class time.

What should I wear?

We don't have a dress code, so you are welcome to dress up or be casual. We provide aprons, but remember, accidents happen and acrylic paint does not wash out of clothing.

What should I bring to class?

We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. We have a bar where you can purchase beer and wine.You are welcome to bring your own appetizers. There will be bar snacks available to purchase.

Where are you located?

We're located in the Meadows Mall, right next to Old Navy.

What is the cancellation/inclement weather policy?

If we are still holding class as usual, our normal cancellation policy still applies. However, if the weather makes it impossible or uncomfortable for you to drive to our studio the day of your reservation, please notify us via email or phone at least 4 hours prior to class start time and we will transfer your reservation to a future class on our current calendar. If you wish to not choose a future class, you will receive a class hold credit for 1/2 the amount of the seat purchase price to be used at a later date. Failure to let us know 4 hours prior to class start time will result in the loss of payment. Most extreme conditions - if winter weather causes us to cancel class, we will post it on our Facebook page and on the website event calendar. You will be notified by email as well. You will have the option to receive a class hold credit or have your reservation transferred to a future class on our current calendar. Refunds will not be issued either way. Can I bring food?

Yes! We do have some snacks available for purchase in the studio, but you are welcome to bring in your own.
