Paint. Drink. Get Married?!PAINT. DRINK. GET MARRIED?
You would be surprised at the number of people who get engaged at Pinot's Palette.
Well now one studio is taking it a step further.
Pinot’s Palette – Lake St. Louis is hosting a painting class that will include a group wedding for all guests who want to take the plunge in an unusual fashion. The owner, Shanna Palans, is an ordained officiant and will be performing the ceremony. The studio will provide a champagne toast and some other fun surprises. Painters who are already married can renew their vows, and friends of the brides and grooms are welcome to Paint. Drink. Have Fun. and celebrate with their friends.
The idea came to Shanna one morning when she was getting ready for work. She had just performed a wedding for friends and was thinking how much fun it was to be a big part of someone’s big day. People are looking for different and fun ways to get married and planning a big wedding isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Shanna had heard about a minster who ran the Las Vegas Marathon and married runners at Mile 3. She and her husband Andy had renewed their vows in the same Las Vegas wedding chapel where her parents had married years ago. And so the group wedding idea began forming.
The featured painting of the night will, of course, have a LOVE theme, and be date night-style, covering two canvases. The ceremony will be short & sweet, occurring on a break from the regular painting instruction. Couples are responsible for obtaining their marriage license from the county in which they reside.
Vino & Vows will start at 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 22. The cost is the same as a regular 2-hour class, just $35 per painter. All guests must purchase a seat to attend. Registration opens at the end of August on the studio website: www.pinotspalette.com/lakestlouis
So, gentlemen, you'd better get busy picking the painting class in which you are going to pop the question.
Yes, it is a legal wedding. And, oh yeah, it’s on Shanna & Andy’s 27th wedding anniversary. That’s got to be lucky, right?!
