Summer Cocktail Season
It’s hard to believe the school year is coming to a close already. Soon it will time for summer camp, bar-b-ques and pool parties. The long hot days of summer are perfect for a refreshing cool beverage. My Pinterest boards are full of summer drinks that look amazing.
• 1 can frozen pink lemonade (thawed); any brand, I used the store brand
• 36 ounces of cold water (fill the lemonade can 3 times)
• 12 ounces tequila (use the lemonade can to measure)
• 6 ounces of triple sec
• Ice
• Salt
• Lime cut into wedges
Pour the thawed pink lemonade into a large pitcher then add very cold water and stir. Next add tequila and triple sec, stir again. Add ice. Take a glass, rub lime on the rim and dip in salt. Pour and ENJOY!
This cocktail is simple and portable. Take it with you to next pool party or painting class! I’d love to see you at the studio and hear your take on the recipe.
