Summer in ArizonaIT’S GETTING TO BE SUMMER IN PHOENIX!
The temps are rising and the air conditioners are humming. How do you escape the heat? I treat it as if it’s a snowy day. Most everyone in Arizona came here from cold country and remember staying inside, out of the elements. It’s the same here without the snow shoveling and icy roads. You just can’t shovel sunshine.
When I first moved to Phoenix in 1977, I spent a lot of time walking around indoor malls, going to the movies and I was HAPPY to go to work! All because I was living on next to nothing and couldn't afford to keep my apartment cool.
Another way to stay cool was to head to the mountains. Flagstaff, Prescott, Payson, and Pinetop. Any place with an altitude over 5000 feet will be 10-30 degrees cooler.
So, get out, go to a movie or shop! Better yet, head for the mountains!
