Disconnect to Reconnect this Valentine’s Day at Pinot’s PalettePinot's Palette
Pinot’s Palette, a pioneer in the paint and sip experience, is partnering with Reboot, a non-profit organization, which hosts a National Day of Unplugging, to encourage couples to power down, pick up a brush, and paint their commitment to each other on canvas. Kate Schnurr, owner of the Pinot’s Palette Highlands studio in Denver, explains to KDVR-TV, “The concept is putting down your cell phones, putting the technology away, and getting connected with the ones you love through painting.”
Research shows increased connectivity has created a disconnect among couples. Rather than gaze into the eyes of their partner, people stare at their screens. Rather than hold hands, they cradle a computer. In fact, 70% of women say smartphones interfere in their relationship, and on average people check their phones at least 150 times a day.
Pinot’s Palette offers a fantastic opportunity to make new memories with someone you love. Couple’s Night painting classes at Pinot’s Palette during Valentine’s weeks will take the focus off technology and put it back on togetherness. For a little challenge, couples can try an official date night painting! Both of them will paint separate canvases; when placed together, the canvases will match up to create one picture. Memories are made in the present! Leave devices and distractions behind, and find a place to reconnect with the ones you love.
