Why Start a Paint and Sip BusinessCraig Ceccanti
I’m often asked, “Why start a paint and sip business?” In the hustle and bustle of life, as entrepreneurs, we often forget about why we are doing what we are doing. Staying grounded in the mission and purpose of your business is critical to staying energized to meet customer and economic demands past the honey moon phase. Pinot’s Palette recently released a Disconnect to Reconnect campaign that truly resonated with me and answers the question, “Why start a paint and sip business?”
Growing up, my family was all about time away from the normal grind. Mom made the family sit down to eat dinner at the dinner table every night, resisting the rebellion from her two sons to eat in front of the TV. I still remember her hollering at us to turn off the TV and come to dinner, resulting in her walking in and smacking the off button. We took frequent vacations and even had a beat up fishing camp with no TV or dishwasher! But we did have time with each other to play pool, badminton, ping-pong, fishing, play cards, and talk. While resisting at first, as teenagers we learned to enjoy that time disconnecting from electronics and connecting with each other as a family. We often brought friends who had never experienced having to wash a dish without a dishwasher, they quickly learned.
More recently, with all the gadgets we have in our life I found myself listening to podcasts and YouTube through headsets while doing choirs at home. This found its way into family time and before I knew it I was missing special moments staring at my phone or zoning out to an audio book with my adorable one year old twins were right in front of me. This is an issue for me and many others in the technology age we live in. We have to resist the urge to have technology get in the way of connecting with the people around us as life is happening.
This is all the reason you need to start a paint and sip business. At Pinot’s Palette you get time to put away your phones, forget about work, explore your creativity, and connect with loved ones. We constantly hear stories of Pinot’s Palette being the savior of marriages, the place to get engaged, and even therapy to get through cancer treatment. It is much more than painting and drinking, it is a sanctuary to leave your troubles at the door and reconnect with yourself, friends, family, and even meet new people.
