Class Details

This is a specialty event. National and Pinot Perks™ discounts cannot be applied for this event.

Paint a portrait of your pet at Project Pet. Once you sign up for the painting, email us a high quality digital photo of your pet (one pet per canvas, please) and we will do the rest. Each photo will be transferred onto a 16”X20” canvas. Our talented artists will walk you through the steps to create your very own Pet Portrait!

MAY IS NATIONAL PET MONTH.
***Registration will close May 21st, 2019*** This is the deadline for cancellation or class credit as well. This is the absolute deadline to get your pet's photos to us.

Send photos to Fishkill@PinotsPalette.com
Any photos sent after May 21st will not be printed and your reservation will be refunded.
All pictures should be a high quality digital photo that showcases your animal and reflects unobstructed views of your pet. 300 dpi works best.

Here are some tips for success:

a) 1 pet per photo/per canvas
b) Highest resolution possible
c) Pet is clear and in the foreground with no furniture, objects, grass, etc. blocking any body parts
d) Pet is centered in the photo either FULL BODY or HEAD SHOT, with no cropped off edges.
e) Our best advice is to take a photo of your pet with the best camera you have outside during the day, under a shaded area (like your front porch, back patio, or inside near a window).
f) Remember, the better your photo is, the easier the painting process will be.

*No discounts or complimentary/donated gift certificates may be applied to Project Pet classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check out our FAQs to learn more about what to expect from your Pinot's Palette experience or feel free to call the studio to speak to a member of our staff.

  • This is my first time, what should I expect?

Expect a relaxed, fun atmosphere - no experience necessary. Studio artists will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron.

  • What should I wear?

There is no dress code, however, be warned that acrylic paint might stain some fabrics. We will make every effort to remove any stray paint, but we cannot guarantee it.

  • Can I arrive early?

Yes, doors open 30 minutes before class time. Most guests arrive 15-20 minutes early to get settled and mingle. Painting starts promptly, so if you are running late, we ask that you call us at 845.896.8500. For the best class experience, please arrive no later than 15 minutes past start time.

  • Can I walk-in and paint?

Reservations are highly recommended; classes tend to sell out.

  • Is there reserved seating?

Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class in the seating request section. Unfortunately due to our seating capacity we do not allow people to attend our painting classes without a reservation.
