How do I sign up for a class?
Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" to view our calendar of painting parties. Select which event you would like to attend and click"Register Now." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process. Phone orders with a credit card are taken M-F from 11am - 3pm, exluding holidays.
What days are classes held?
Classes are held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdayafternoons and evenings. We also occasionally have classes on other nights during the week & Sunday afternoons. View our class calendar to find out more at www.pinotspalette.com/chesterfield/classes.
How much is a class?
Two hour classes are $35 per person, Three hour classes are $45 per person, Family/Kids Days are $30 per canvas, Project Pet is $55 per painter.
When do I need to arrive for class?
We recommend you arrive 15-20 minutes before class starts to allow time for you to get settled in and mingle before the painting starts.
Is there reserved seating?
Yes, we have your easel set up for you at your spot before you arrive for class. If you have friends attending the class that you’d like to sit by, you can let us know when you book the class or you can send us an email (…just make sure to give us at least 24 hours notice).
Can I reserve a spot without paying?
We do welcome walk ins! To reserve a seat, we will need payment online or over the phone to ensure we can accommodate your seating request. As a benefit to our guests, we provide reserved seating instead of the usual open seating. Seats are reserved only upon payment for class. Seating requests for those paying in advance receive priority.
Do you allow walk ins?
Yes, for the vast majority of classes we have room for walk ins. We have a large studio and can almost always accommodate last minute guests. For groups of more than two, we highly recommend paying in advance to ensure seating together.
Do you allow non paying guests to watch or attend classes?
All guests in the studio during classes are required to purchase a seat. We do not allow canvas sharing or unpaid watchers. This now includes Mommy and Me, and Family Day classes. We do allowed unpaid guests in private parties, as long as the minimum headcount is met. Ask us about setting one up for you!
What is your cancellation policy?
While we are so sorry that you can’t paint with us, we realize emergencies happen. Regular painting classes, groups of 1-4: 48 hours notice is required for a refund or class credit. 24-47 hours notice: Unrestricted class credit. 4 hours to 24 hours notice: a one time only restricted 30 day in studio class credit for 50% of the amount of the purchase price. Less than 4 hours notice: no compensation given, no exceptions. All Cancellation requests, including weather, with less than 24 hours notice require email notification with proof of purchase (confirmation or reminder email is fine) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Phone calls, voice mails, and emails without a confirmation/reminder email are not honored in order to ensure we are processing the correct order. Group policy for groups of 5+ (even if you paid only for yourself): 4 days notice required for full refunds or class credits. 3 days notice required for an unrestricted class credit 2 days or less notice: a one time only 30 day in studio class credit for 50% of the amount of the purchase price. 1 day or less: no compensation given, no exceptions. Private Party cancellations may require approval from the host due to party minimums. Private Party cancellations require two weeks notice for rescheduling or refund of the deposit. Cancellations and reschedules with less than two weeks notice forfeit the deposit. Project Pet Cancellation policy: All reservations must be made one week in advance and all photos must be in one week in advance. Reservations cannot be cancelled with less than 1 weeks notice due to processing time for canvases and the unique nature of your pet on the canvas. **WINTER WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY: If winter weather causes us to cancel class, you will be issued a class credit, or have the option of transferring to another on the current calendar. If we remain open and you cancel your reservation due to driving conditions where you live, your reservation is transferrable on a one time only basis to another class on the current calendar, no further moves or cancellations allowed. You must notify us at least 3 hours before class to take advantage of the transfer. Cancellation requests must be emailed with the receipt/confirmation/reminder emailto email@example.com at least three hours prior. Phone, voice mail, in person, and email requests without confirmation/reminder emails attached cannot be honored in order to process the correct order. Don’t worry about remembering all of this – we do send it out in the confirmation and reminder emails too so you have multiple ways of checking in the event of an emergency.
What do I need to bring to a class?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. All you need to bring are your favorite food, snacks, or appetizers, beer, wine and non alcoholic beverages you might want during the class. You may also bring beer and wine (no corkage fee). Plates, napkins, and silverware are provided. Beer, wine, and soft drinks are available for purchase at the bar.
I don’t have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.
When does the next calendar get posted?
We try to post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list.
What should I wear to the class?
No dress code here...dress casual or dress up. We will provide you with an apron but painters have been known to get involved in their work of art.
Can I bring wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverages to classes or parties?
Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the bar, or you may BYOB. Must be 21 to purchase, byob, or consume alcohol. Bottled water is complimentary.
Is there an age limit for the normal public classes?
Yes, we are an adult art entertainment studio with beer and wine available for purchase at the bar, and BYOB beer/wine. We do have kid’s specific classes, but the normal public classes have the following requirements: -Teens 13 to 17 years old with an adult -18 years old and up -must be 21 and above to consume or purchase alcohol.
Can I bring my kids to a public class?
Since Pinot's Palette-Chesterfield public classes allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages, painters 12 and under are unable to come (paying or paid) to regular public classes. This is for the comfort and respect of the nature of our classes involving adult bevarages. Teens 13-17 are welcome with paying adults (18 and above). Parents must pay to paint as well during regular public classes if they come with a teen. Please look for Family Day - Kids Day on the calendar for age appropriate classes for our younger painters and classes where parents can just watch.
Do you do Family Days or Kids Days?
Yes, We do our Family and Kids days on Sundays, and on weekdays during school breaks. We do not have Family/Kid Friendly days on evenings, and Saturdays - those public classes are reserved for the adult classes. However, Family and Kids private parties may be done any time on a space available basis.
Do you allow alcohol or sell alcohol on Kids/Family Friendly days?
Effective January 1, 2015, alcohol will no longer be allowed (byob or purchase) during our public Kid Friendly Kids and Family Days. This is out of respect for our younger children painters who cannot attend regular public classes where adult beverages are served.
What is Your Winter Weather Policy?
The safety of both our painters and our artists is of upmost importance to us in winter weather. If winter weather causes us to cancel a class, you will have the option of receiving a class credit or transfer to another class on the current calendar. If we remain open, and you cancel your reservation due to actual snow and ice on roads (we do check) where you live, your reservation is transferable on a one time basis to another class on the current calendar. You must notify us at least 3 hours in advance to take advantage of the transfer. When classes are held, there are no refunds or reschedules or transfers with less than 3 hours notice, and seats are forfeited. This is out of respect for your artists who have already come in to prepare for your seat in your class. We do not issue reschedules or credits for cold, heat, rain, sunny days, cloudy days or anything other than snow and ice in distant locations. Notifications must occur via email to firstname.lastname@example.org only, no phone requests will be honored.
