Iconic Fire Island Lighthouse PaintingLong Island you could "Paint the Town" or even better how about "Paint the Lighthouse"? The iconic fire island lighthouse is now available for you to paint at Pinot's Palette Bay Shore. As we enter into the 4th of July holiday is there is a lot to celebrate and we are proud to bring this new painting to the community on July 9th from 7-9pm. The painting was created by our very own local artist Tara Kilkelly and we invite you to come to our new studio in downtown Bay Shore to meet Tara, the owners, visit the space and come sip and paint the Fire Island Lighthouse...
More about Tara and her original artwork in her own words:
Hi my name is Tara Kilkelly, and I am one of the artists at Pinot's Palette, here in Bayshore. I just graduated from SUNY Oswego with an art minor, and I am attending graduate school this fall in hopes of becoming a therapist, with a specialization in art. I recently was inspired to paint the Fire Island lighthouse because I believe that it is a very special representation of summer, living on the south shore of Long Island. I added fireworks into the painting to celebrate the Fourth of July coming up, and feel that they add an element of excitement to this painting! I hope everyone who paints this with me will enjoy it as much as I did!
You can register for this 2-hour painting event online at the Pinot's Palette Bay Shore website, price is $38, drinks are available for purchase separately and options include an assortment of wine varietals, beers, wine coolers, soft drinks and coffee:
