Introducing Our Artists (5) - Kim BolickI’m very excited to be working with Pinot’s Palette to share my passion for art. In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, “Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something."
Working as a graphic designer with clients such as McDonald’s, Town of Holly Springs, and Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill is rewarding, but my inner artist longs to get down and dirty and create with my hands.
Using soft pastels and acrylics, I strive to create paintings that portray strong emotion and my personal connection to nature, architecture and the sea. The true loves in my life are my husband and two children, sailing and the beach, and you’ll see these influences in much of my personal artwork.
