National Wear Red DayThe first Friday of every February is 'National Wear Red Day'. On this day, men and women are encouraged to wear red as a symbol of their support of women's heart health. The nation comes together, igniting a wave of red from coast to coast. From landmarks to news anchors and neighborhoods to online communities; this annual groundswell unites millions of people for a common goal: the eradication of heart disease and stroke.
At Pinot's Palette Apex, we have a special event on this special day every year - fundraiser for DonateLifeNC. (https://www.donatelifenc.org/). We came to know many wonderful folks who volunteer at this non-profit organization and learned many touching stories. In the pictures is 5 year old Sofie. She is alive today thanks to her organ donor. At just 4 months old she received the gift of a life-saving liver transplant. Donate Life NC works hard to promote organ, eye and tissue donation across the entire state to help save more lives like Sofie's. Please join us to support this worthy cause and save more lives! When you sign up to come to paint, sip and have fun with us for 2 hours, a portion of your registration fee will be donated to Donate Life NC to help them expand their outreach. Don't worry if you haven't touched a paint brush since preschool. With our artists guiding you step by step throughout the process, you will be able to create your own masterpiece while enjoy music, drinks and friends. Click on 'Event Registration' to sign up today.
